Few nights ago, I see that face, recalling a life stuck between school and in that shit place. Feeling like nothing can change. This is how I don’t sleep so well. Years that followed still feel like a pointless blur.

when I am finally the rightful Pope, I will excommunicate people if it's really funny. you bet JD Vance is on the list, but that's just the beginning.
in the lab, I've got some guys working on Excommunication 2.
Scott Peyton left the Lafayette, Louisiana, diocese after priest admitted to abusing his son and was excommunicated months later
super weirded out by how much netflix!castlevania fans make fun of trevor's alcoholism/bad hygiene/food insecurity
also, excommunication isn't just 'not allowed to go to church'. if you're excommunicated, you've been cast out. no one is allowed to help you. no one is allowed to sell to you. you have been unpersoned. trevor doesn't introduce himself as a belmont unless he has to- to establish his credentials (with the speakers) or if he's forced to (the inn with the shovel guy). this is because anyone who knows the belmonts have been excommunicated are obligated to turn their faces from him. goodbye beer! goodbye bread! goodbye supplies, or a night indoors! trevor is excommunicated. he has good reason to hide his name, even when people aren't speaking against his family
Thinking about the first time Jeremy can actually sort of converse in French with jean. Jean having to fill in words here and there but understanding Jeremy more than not, going first through the heart attack that comes from hearing the man he likes and admires so much speaking in his native tongue and then smiling helplessly as Jeremy’s American accent bleeds through. As he repeats the words Jean has to help him with to himself and still forgets them a few moments later. As for the first time in forever Jean can speak in his mother tongue without the conversation being a secret or about something dangerous. Feeling a weight come off his shoulders as, for the first time since leaving Marseille, he gets to freely exist as Jean-Yves Moreau again, without all the restrictions or having to meet someone on their own turf.

Excommunicated From The Mormon Church | Susie’s Journey to Truth & Freedom | Multispective Podcast
This episode really stuck with me. Susie talks about being excommunicated from the Mormon Church, the emotional toll of losing her faith community, and how she rebuilt her life and identity. Raw, honest, and inspiring.
Spiritual care and technology are converging across the country, reshaping the theology of trust: "When tech gets religion: How churches use data and AI" @technologyreview.com
(Plus- Henry VIII, excommunicated)
