eXceed 3rd- Jade Penetrate Black Package
I mean, look at it, it’s obviously a Fin. That’s not what I want to talk about.
As with most shooters, this one allows the player to charge up a special attack to unleash all at once. In eXceed, it’s a barrage of homing lasers very similar to those in Ikaruga. However, this game is fully voiced, and any time our dragon-goth protagonist releases this attack, she yells:
“Bloody Hell!”
It is hilarious, and every time I use it I invariably end up crashing into a bullet moments afterwards, blinded by my own laughter. I understand, if you’re a non-native speaker looking up goffick words to use, combining ‘Bloody’ and ‘Hell’ is sure to be metal as fuck... but to this born-n-raised brit, it’s 50-year-old Norman from Lancaster, who’s just realised he forgot to put the bins out.

To speak a little about the actual game, then- it’s a frenetic danmaku shooter similar enough to Touhou that I’m absolutely on board. Awesome soundtrack courtesy of SSH. Going for the 1CC!

getting to the extra stage in exceed 3rd is so weirdly difficult?? i’ve 1cc’d the game on normal and hard, at the very least if you have to do the whole “MEET THESE SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES WHILE PLAYING THE GAME” thing just take the “don’t bomb” out of the “dont bomb/die against these specific bosses” because like if i fuck up on the fourth stage it feels really obnoxious lmao after all that trouble on the previous stages. and then i go ahead and play the rest of the game just so i’m in practice. IT FEELS LIKE GRINDING you shouldnt have to grind in a bullet hell???? these are my feelings
Hey, because the Steam sales are one, I gotta ask about games before I buy them so I was wondering if eXceed 3rd is worth buying.

Here we are at the last week of Indie Love Month, and we're going to kick things into really high gear with doujin bullet hell smhup eXceed 3rd: Jade Penetrate. The music is done by Saitama Saisyu Heiki, S.S.H. for short, and he's known for making some really high octane rock music. From the moment the music starts until it ends, rarely will you hear his music take a break. Given the bullet hell genre's penchant for having uninspired techno music or goofy music un-befitting the genre, hearing S.S.H.'s music while playing eXceed 3rd really got me into the mood of shooting down enemies and dodging hundreds of bullets like a badass. Now then, what other songs do you like from S.S.H.?
