I was on Nicole’s Instagram and as always I was thinking about how sweet she seems. I like Patsy too, and I think all the partners of the other band members come across as really kind and supportive women. It’s funny that Noel on the other hand has always had the complete opposite experience 😂
I don't follow them but I see some post and they seem sweet. I think also Meg is sweet. I know why most of the fandom doesn't like her but I am not one of them. They are all part of the exes gang and are supportive of each other. The only outsider seems to be Sara.
I am not particularly interested in Liam's exes but I wonder, do Liam's exes generate interest among the fans, as Noel's?
Let's get started!
Not sure where to start but here goes!
here are a few words to describe myself.....
Expat, Muslim, in my fifties, divorcee, mom, working woman, business owner, only child, caregiver, good friend.
I would also describe my personality as...
scatter brained, funny, caring, dependable, been told I am smart but I don't think so, self deprecating!, ambitious, forever learner bit of a procrastinator...there is a lot of myself I am still figuring myself out and re-discovering.
I decided to start this blog as a type of therapy I guess. Hope I keep it up ! but I also started this blog to maybe help other south asian women who have been through similar experiences and maybe provide support and let them know that you aren't alone and we can survive and thrive !
How am I doing so far?? have i got your attention?
You are probably thinking what is a woman in her fifties going to share that is in anyway remotely exciting?? well I don't promise excitement on this 'blog journey' but I hope to provide some light entertainment with some cold hard truths and remove stereotypes of how women from a south asian background at my age may not have needs, wants and hopes for our future. Yes we are moms and wives (not me! ) etc.. but we also have dreams too and we should all be entitled to follow them.
To be honest I only followed my dreams and passions AFTER my divorce. Which is kind of sad really. My prime years between 25-50 were devoted to everyone else but me. I took care of my family, my aged in-laws and I don't regret any of it but I do regret forgetting myself in the process...losing myself...not allowing myself to be happy. I gave up all my friendships to move to a new country. Left my family behind to live with strangers..left all my happiness and youth behind to start all over in a new place. I didn't realize the impact it would have on me until after I got divorced.
I think I was numb for 25 years just a gerbil on a wheel trying to be a good wife, mother and daughter in law all the while losing myself and trying to make everyone happy but myself. I'm not alone most women from my background have done this and continue to but my question is why? and now as we question our worth and realize we are worthy of more, others don't like it, men feel threatened that we are finally speaking out or feel we have had our time and we need to continue to be in the background and not celebrate ourselves. Basically just shut up and sit down!!
Anne Boleyn: Who’s that again?
Catherine of Aragon: Oh, um, I think she was the least relevant Catherine.
Anne Boleyn: Oh, yeah. Now I still don’t care.

last week my six the music charm broke (it was like a thing you could attach on a zipper, it said "six" and had a crown at the end.) And I have yet to to find the crown piece. I have no idea where it went, but I don't leave my house a lot so idk where it COULD'VE gone.

What which ex-wife you stan says about you and your trauma:
Catalina d'Aregon: You put a lot of pressure on yourself to get everything right without realising exactly how much pressure you've put on yourself and in doing so have cut off parts of yourself that didn't fit in the 'perfect' box except in the end your efforts have been ignored and ridiculed and nothing feels like it mattered so now you fight to have control over anything and everything because maybe doing that will make your efforts have mattered in the end. Anne Boleyn: You have invented a cool, don't-care-ish version of yourself that laughs everything off in order to appear desirable, acting in the moment and pretending the future doesn't matter until suddenly it does and now no one will take you seriously when you say you're hurting so your only option now is to mask it all with humour that feels increasingly strained and unfunny. Jane Seymour: You have a lot of unpacked guilt and feel like you could have done more to cause less harm but you also feel that no one takes your trauma seriously so you act like it was worse than you actually believe it was, while simultaneously feeling guilty about the idea that it could have been worse but it wasn't, because winning the trauma olympics feels like the only way to make people acknowledge that you are hurting. Anna von Kleve: You didn't perform femininity to a societally acceptable standard and were bullied/ostracised for it when you should have been experiencing friendship and grace, so now you've got a whole lot of rage that you want to pointedly channel into loving your life, but there's some level of feeling like you got off easy that you're struggling to shake off because words hurt way more than we admit they do and it's embarrassing to admit that you're still upset because of the asshole who loudly called you ugly in order to be mean. Katheryn Howard: People consistently reduce your value as a person to that of your physical attractiveness, and for a while it was fun leaning into being pretty - even though you wished sometimes people would see you as more than just that - until one day you were blamed for being pretty because your looks have made you a sexual object regardless of your own desires or autonomy, and now you feel guilty for knowing that people find you pretty and guiltier for sometimes wishing you were born ugly instead - and guiltiest for sometimes wishing you could feel pretty again on your own terms. Katerin Parr: You feel that your trauma isn't taken seriously, but you're angry because you've realised that no one's trauma is being taken seriously and that we shouldn't have to play Trauma Olympics to feel validated in our pain, and the system wants us to blame ourselves and each other instead of actually turning around and getting angry at the people who actually hurt us, and you're especially angry that you are expected to share details of your trauma in order for people to take you seriously when you point all of this out.
Didi Romero everyone 🩷
You can’t tell me that these two aren’t (ex) wives.
