Honestly, I get that Evie isn't Evie. But I think if Maria Bello had been just as sexy with Brendan Fraser we all would have died because she’s not Rachel Weisz and that would be cheating. Also, Rick and Evie have been married for 20 years by this instalment, it couldn’t have been exactly the same. But at the same time the couple is still sexy AF. Everything is so well rehearsed between RickXEvie, her aversion to guns doesn’t really make sense, but everything the couple does is still for each other and so wonderfully attractive to the other. Also, Rachel Weisz liked the script but was pregnant at the time and encouraged the producers to make it without her. Think on that for a bit. There are so many references to the first two films, that, for me, it’s kind of like coming home and having a whole bunch of inside jokes with your friends that you’ve known for years.
