Last year we designed the wildlife garden, but this year we got a picture of a bee’s eye view in a foxglove!! We didn’t plant it, it just grew. True nature at work here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foxglove>Me.

Watching the spring watch webcams turned into an impromptu lesson on the 5 kingdoms of life and researching phyla, orders etc - starting with the mustelids (mustard lids).

Day 13:

This is the second time we’ve seen a bee in #30dayswild this year. We also saw our wren again - we know she is nesting in our garden, or maybe in our roof, but we don't know where the nest is. 

 We went to thrunton woods and really topped up our wild time. We want to get some MASSIVE wild time in June to make up for my 3 days away.  Thrunton is a great place to go because you find stuff like wood sorrel and weird trees. Dogs enjoy it as well as humans when you let them eat GRASS!!

Day 11: awesome afternoon exploring Holy Island. We looked at footprints, discovered some tiny creatures, were wowed by wildflowers and spent ages watching and listening to the seals. Literally 1000s of them all singing their eerie song.

Saw this seal yesterday at #holyisland . Highlight of the day.
