The Canadian geese are starting to arrive in the lake. They will continue to do so for days. Then, after there are over 100 geese in the lake and surrounding yards, they will all settle into the lake and all be pointing in the same direction. That's when I know that they will be taking off for the winter. They point in the direction that they will fly at sunrise. It's a spectacular sight to behold and I'm grateful that I get to see it every year. It's getting noisy out there! They are a very chatty group of birds!! I love that about them. ❤️ Next spring, a pair of them will land in my backyard and have their babies. They come back every year to do so. I leave the yard in its natural state until they're done raising their family. It's something I look forward to seeing every year just like their arrival before migration is, too!! This is so exciting!!!
