i originally posted this but like no one read it so i changed it to a viktor x reader but idc anymore, violet and leon deserve justice

the air was tight, clinging onto his skin through his tethered clothes. the clouds were a mask that hid the directions from view, but this aching feeling was telling him to go -almost as if a slight transgression from course would make him drown in the blackness of the night. inside, his mind was playing like a scratched record, his fondest memories -like music to his ears- were warping and moaning like a broken orchestra. yet one thing brought harmony to the whole cacophony, a blonde haired conductor who made the chaos calm with memories of her gentle, silver hands pressing each key of her type writer, like gravity connecting all his world into a single system.

memories of her were not unfamiliar, in fact, he thought of her everyday, counting the stars like a wish, longing to see the diamond sky in her glass like eyes. their departure at first left a feeling of a rose’s thorn stabbing into his heart, but her enticing beauty wouldn’t allow him to part with her intangible presence. he, who once thought of himself as a rational scientist found himself distraught at the star he could no longer see. but in his mind, the lingering pain was what comforted him at night.

on her departure he had made a promise to her; a promise that he’d explore the world. he continued to struggle through twisted trees and gasping grass in hopes to see the the merging of two solar systems, but the sky wouldn’t grant him that grace tonight. still, in his heart there was this sensational warmth that coerced him to try and find this phenomenon. his legs ached whilst the stinging sweat trickled down his hair onto his skin. but no matter what, he could not stop.

then, at a clearing, blonde flowers bloomed in the dark night with green stems keeping them up. his eyes casted upwards as the clouds began to drift, but he felt a shift in atmosphere that conquered his senses.

“it’s been a long time.”

the voice struck him like remembered lyrics from a long lost song. but he never forgot this muse, in fact, he tried to rewrite his own words that were left unsaid at their inevitable departure.

he slowly turned around, fingers outstretched as his palms pushed against his academic robe, his pupils modulated as the final string holding his tears broke.

“violet.”

there she was, glistening in the starlight, her features similar but evolved -she became a more mature and softer light. in her eyes, she carried multiple stories he tried to read but waves clashed with his eyesight.
