Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Kaleb Hawkins x Hope Mikaelson

"Just...one more second..." Kaleb says, squinting through the lens as he readjusts the brightness setting for the fifth time. "And stay right there. Not even a twitch."
Hope laughs, ignoring his instructions as she completely abandons the pose.
"Kaleb, you've been saying that for five minutes! Just take the picture before we get questioned by French security and end up having to call someome to come get us because my French is rusty and we've landed ourselves in jail."
He lowers the camera to shoot her a puzzled look. "It's not illegal to take pictures near the Eiffel Tower, you know."
And it's not like they're the only ones doing it, either; they street is filled with tourists lofting around big, clunky cameras, or aiming their phones, and the sounds of shutters.
"And jail?" he adds, raising an eyebrow in amusement now. "Really? And you call Lizzie dramatic."
Hope rolls her eyes, reaching up to fix the beret balanced on her head. Her smile widens.
"Can you please just take the picture? Before we freeze? Or before we have to leave and miss our chance? We're only here for two more days, you know, and I'm pretty sure that Lizzie and MG both have the rest of our schedules planned out for us."
She's not wrong. MG wouldn't stop going on about all the places they just have to visit before they go back home. It's beginning to feel like a mission to keep him and Hope apart considering Lizzie's itinerary is the exact opposite.
He smiles and nods. "Alright, just get back into position."
Hope gives another roll of her eyes but she obliges, resting her head against her curled hand with the slightest tilt. The sunlight hits her perfectly, casting a shadow onto the wall behind her and turning her hair a shining golden colour. It's like even the universe knows that she's one of the most stunning things to exist within it and can't help but illuminate her.
Kaleb peers through the camera's lens once more, aiming the shot. He adjusts another setting and the corner of her mouth twitches up the tiniest bit.
