Enjoy the wonderful taste of tart raspberries and nutty almonds together in this Raspberry Almond Tart. The buttery crust, sweet raspberry jam, fresh berries, and crunchy almonds all work together to make a great combination of tastes and textures that's great for any event.
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup almond flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 egg yolk. 1 tablespoon ice water. 1 cup raspberry jam. 1 cup fresh raspberries. 1/2 cup sliced almonds. Powdered sugar, for dusting optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. In a food processor, pulse together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the egg yolk and ice water, then pulse until the dough comes together. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the crust. Arrange the fresh raspberries on top of the jam. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the raspberries. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Allow the tart to cool completely before serving. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
