USERDRAMAS EVENT 15: SOMETHING NEW

Have you ever wanted to try a new technique or effect on Photoshop (or a photo editor of your choice), but haven't had the chance to? Or maybe you want to make something for a fandom you've never created content for before?

Our event for March will be about trying SOMETHING NEW. Make any type of visual content (gifs, edits, fmvs, fanart, etc.) of Asian media inspired by this prompt - it could be a new technique/effect, a new fandom to create content for, or even newly released media from 2024. This event will run from March 1st to March 29th.

after taking a poll, the december event theme was decided to be winter and holidays themed. this event will run through entirety of december. the only requirement is your creations should be pale/pastel!! hope you participate!

in honor of juneteenth coming up this month, this june we’ll be celebrating the Black community! make any type of visual creation — gifs, edits, art, etc. — that centers Black people. this event will run from June 1st to June 30th.

Then all listened while Elrond in his clear voice spoke of Sauron and the Rings of Power, and their forging in the Second Age of the world long ago. A part of his tale was known to some there, but the full tale to none, and many eyes were turned to Elrond in fear and wonder as he told of the Elven-smiths of Eregion and their friendship with Moria, and their eagerness for knowledge, by which Sauron ensnared them.

FREE Jerwood Gallery Artist Talks

Thursday 23 July 2-4pm in The Studio.

The afternoon will introduce the Sotto Voce Arts residential theme this year with Anny Evason, Sharon Haward, Tracy Jones, and Paula MacArthur talking about their work. The discussion will be facilitated by the festivals director Glenys Jacques.

FREE - Solar Viewing with Telescopes at De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill

East Sussex Astronomical Society will bring telescopes for solar viewing and lead discussions about what planets can be seen during the summer.

Sunday 12 July DLWP south terrace, 4pm onwards.

FREE - Planetarium & Solar Viewing at Sussex Coast College, Hastings

An inflatable planetarium from our partners at the University of Sussex with content suitable for key stage 3, 4 or 5 students will be available to visit for free on Monday 13 July 11 - 4pm. In it, students will have a tour of the night sky, and have the chance to see We Are Astronomers - a planetarium show where students learn how astronomers use the electromagnetic spectrum, the most powerful telescopes on Earth and in space and, alongside particle physicists, how they try to answer the biggest unanswered questions. This isn’t just for students all enthusiasts are welcome to join us on the day.
