I had a sudden vision for a potential Academy event in Pokémon Masters EX where two of the main new pairs are Crispin & Fire Tera Blaziken and Urbain & Mega Sceptile, with the event essentially being a low stakes cooking contest that gets a bit competitive
Oh, and since it's an Academy Event, the Academy Grid unit is... uh... Juliana (Academy) & Naclstack or something
ok who wants to write a round robin telephone fic with me?? each person writes a page or so but only the last paragraph (or last line if I'm feeling wild) gets sent on to the next writer!

Maybe for a late 300 (and all the milestones before) event, I could host an OC tournament of sorts. Not for the 'best' OC, but for this wonderful, happy-go-lucky concept:

Would anyone be interested? You would have to submit propaganda. It would also be OC x OC ships only so fandom doesn't tip the scales too much. Two OCs for a fandom would be fine. I'd need enough submissions to make a proper tournament (maybe, like, twelve(?)).
I wouldn't allow explicit sexual content (within the event itself) or anything wildly creepy and illegal. Trigger warnings would be required where appropriate. I think I would limit the OCs to having to be in some kind of romantic (appearing) relationship, whether they actually feel romantic attraction to each other or not.

would you consider doing a Drabble type of thing? where people can write a Drabble or a short fic weekly, except it’s about something niche - so it’s not gallavich. people could write about whichever characters they want or any other couples, with a weekly theme or something. They could still write fics about Mickey or Ian but separately, not as a couple? Or other characters like Mandy, Debbie, the Milkovich family etc. Might be a good way to read/write about other characters more.

I'm not sure how to answer because, on the one hand, that is entirely in line with the goal of this account! And I would love to see a weekly incentive for more fics about under-loved characters and pairings.
But on the other hand: I'm not sure I would have the time/energy in the long run.
There are 3 events planned (1 per month) until September. I didn't want to plan further ahead because I wasn't sure what the interest would be from the fandom.
(Also, on a personal note, because I am doing a career shift and going back to college in September. I'm not sure what my free time will look like at that point. So I don't want to over-commit, yk? )
Maybe your idea for a weekly drabble/ficlet event would be best on its own blog? In the same way that the Gallavich weekly drabbles have their own dedicated account?
If anyone feels inspired, please take the idea and run with it! I can definitely send in prompts/ideas for the weekly themes. And cross-promote/share the weekly theme here. It's just the admin of another account or event that feels like too much.
By October (free time allowing), if nobody has made a general Shameless drabbles account, I would reconsider the idea.

Okay, I want to share a Fest idea for consideration, but I am still newer to the MDzS community. So, feel free to ignore this. Okay, the idea is a cultivation conference-a play off the Lanling-Jin cultivation conference and writers/artists can sign up and then be assigned to a team (sect) either Jiang, Jin, Lan, or Nie. And the goal is quantity- whichever sect has the most works will win after a set amount of time. This may not have legs, but tossing it your way as an idea. Thank you so much for all that you do!
Oh that could be fun! Pair it with a prompt meme, maybe, so participants have requests to guide their works during the creation period, then have gifts to read in celebration at the end!
You know, I noticed there's a lot of Dragon Ball ships that have their own week and/or month event. Like those things where you'd draw or write something related to the prompt for each day of the week/month.
I remember there was a GoChi week, a Vegebul week, a Vegekaka week, an Eighteen/Krillin week, a Launch/Raditz week (or month, I can't remember). I remember there was even a Blamasu week!
But shockingly, I haven't seen one ship week/month that features Frieza. You know, arguably one of, if not the post popular DB villain in the franchise (i'm also surprised I haven't seen a single one with Cell).
Maybe I'd outta change that....would you guys be interested if I hosted a Frieza/Frost week?
It obviously wouldn't be soon. I'd have to properly plan it out. Maybe make a seperate account where people can share their submissions. But I'm also not sure if this ship would be popular enough to get the event a lot of traction - which is why I considered doing a "Crack Ship" week. Something a little more broad, and more people could participate in, and overall expose more DB characters that get overwhelmed by all the Gokus, Vegetas, Bulmas, etc (not that we don't like them too, they're awesome)
In any case, that's just me thinking random stuff again. But it'd be nice if I actually went through with one of these ideas. So gimme your thoughts.
