Exuberant display of talent. The sophomore album from Evan Weiss’s Pet Symmetry is a colorful deliciousness of punk and rock with dashes of emo thrown for good measure. Playful and cheeky, it shows that Evan can take a break from his usual moodiness, and just have fun with the boys, while maintaining the same level of beautiful lyricism. It’s infectious and heartwarming, and it demonstrates that whatever this dude does, he pours his heart in it.
