Evangeline Fox x Jacks of the Hollow

Boyfriend Jacks who loves waking up before his girlfriend. Having the chance to watch her sleep, finally understand why someone would watch another sleep. Taking in her calm expression. Looking over her slowly rising chest, the way her cheek is smoldered against his arm which she is laying on top of. And while he can’t feel his arm anymore, he doesn’t dare move it away.

He traces very lightly the bridge of her nose, not wanting to wake her up just yet. But not being able to keep his hands off her for too long. Grazing his finger on her cheek, wanting so badly to poke it. Twirling a strand of her hair, watching the way the light catches on her pink hair. Loving the shade of it, which is the same as the one when she blushes.

Something she does often, be it his fault or not. As he loves to tease and work her up just to see her round cheeks gain color. Always finding new ways to get her to blush. Even though he doesn’t need it, since she blushes at the simplest things. She’s quite easy to fluster. Which he absolutely loves.

Boyfriend Jacks who watches as Evangeline starts to wake up slowly. Fluttering eyelashes against cheeks that he loves taking a bite out of, as if it’s an apple. The subtle stretch of her limbs and little groans and sighs that leave her mouth. That get a little bit louder as he leaves a kiss on the crown of her head. Now fully tangling his free hand on her hair and slowly untangling the knots formed overnight.

Girlfriend Evangeline who buries herself more against her boyfriend as she starts to wake up and feel him awake around her. Tucking her face under his chin and placing a short kiss on the base of his throat. Feeling him smile against where he buried his face into her hair. Reaching one hand towards him and rubbing his back. As she basks in the feeling of waking up wrapped around her lover’s embrace.

And as she feels ready to face the world on a new day, she looks up to her boyfriend. Loving the sight of him all soft in the morning. His extremely messed up hair, and lines all over one side of his face from where he laid his head against the pillow.

Looking at her in a way that makes her want to fly.

From The Start

Evangeline should have felt embarrassed after losing all the air in her lungs when she shared her first kiss with Jacks.

She should have felt petrified that his kiss could cause her entire body to malfunction that easily or the fact that it could have killed her.

She should have been more afraid to actually kiss him but she wasn’t.

She was ecstatic, grateful, and so beyond happy.

Evangeline Fox x Jacks of The Hollow Ariel Lagrimas (Lala) x Chaos Evangeline Fox and Jacks of The Hollow try to be matchmakers for their two stubborn friends Will they succeed?

Jacks, who’s on his knees begging his girlfriend to talk to Chaos. Telling her he was not made to help lover’s quarrels. That’s more her area. Given how the girl loves romance and all.

Evangeline is just amused. Wasn’t it her boyfriend who had mixed feelings towards the vampire? Because of his past actions? And now he wants HER, to talk to the other man? His girlfriend in the same space as the man who killed her? He must really be desperate.

She asks him if it did not go well with his friend. Jacks just inhales very deeply, looking like the picture of a man trying not to lose his marbles. Complaining to his girlfriend he had to sit through the vampire talking about Lala for HOURS. From regrets he had in regards to the girl, to how infuriating she could be. Jacks’ ears have become numb from so much rambling.

Fleeing from Lala’s house just to end up hearing about lover’s quarrels in the end. The pink-haired girl just runs her fingers through his hair as he lays his head in her lap and complains to his heart’s content. Trying to soothe him.

And so, she starts to think of ways to get their friends to make up and hopefully, together. As she thinks the vampire is a better match for Lala than her previous lover. Jacks tells her he doesn’t want to have anything to do with any of this.

But all she has to do is bat her pretty eyelashes at him, to get him to help her. Always crumbling to his partner’s wishes. He’s a weak man when it’s about her.

Of course, her plans don’t work exactly how she wants. Both are stubborn people. Chaos tries to remain calm, but Lala ends up bringing a side of him, most people aren’t able to. And if Evangeline thought Jacks and Lala’s fights were bad, then lord have mercy because these two are on another level.

The unwed bride manages time and time again to raise the vampire’s stress levels. And they look like two little kids who just found out they have a crush on each other and don’t know what to do about it. So, they fight. Constantly.

Making no progress at all. Or so it seems. Evangeline has a feeling that something is shifting, even if it’s not visible to the naked eye. She just hopes it’s a good shift.

For she has to watch Jacks give her all kinds of grumpy looks as he listens to Chaos ramble on and on about the other girl. And she eventually also starts to become tired of being between this stubborn couple.

Evangeline Fox x Jacks of The Hollow And Luc who appears at the most random times

Jacks knows he’s trying to be a better person for his adorable girlfriend. And that she doesn’t like any kind of violence. So, he would definitely be reprimanded if she found out what was going through his mind. Shame for her, he likes when she reprimands him.

But at the moment he’s trying to find a way to contour his girlfriend’s rules. As he looks at the darker man and feels his sanity vanish the longer, he lingers around.

You see, Luc has found out about The Hollow being open to people passing by. Somehow. And thought it would be a great idea to drop by and maybe stay at the inn. The nerve of this guy. Jacks wants to do so many unthinkable things to him. The only thing holding him back is the angel in front of him.

Evangeline is at the counter of The Hollow, telling Luc that sadly he has to pay for his stay. Since The Hollow lost its magic, all the food and other basic needs of the guests have to come from her and her boyfriend’s pocket. As they go to the local market to restock the inn and make it run. They have to be able to run it somehow.

The former fate glares heavily behind the petite girl. Looming close behind her, as he leans his arms on either side of her, on the counter. Keeping a large stand to intimidate the newly turned vampire. Letting his murdering thoughts spill on his eyes. Hoping that will make the other go away.

Unfortunately for him, Luc doesn’t seem to have a sense of self preservation. As he continues to stay in front of the couple, leaning on the counter as if he doesn’t have any care in the world.

Pleading with Evangeline to let him stay and trying to get her to pity him since he has no money and no place to stay in the moment. Jacks tells him very rudely to go back to Chao’s place. Which earns him a look from the sweetness that continues to stay between him and the counter.

As they have a brief silent talk through their gazes, Jacks’s mind starts wandering off to not so friendly thoughts. Thinking about what he could do with his girl at that same very counter, would they be alone.

He only comes back to his senses when he hears her tell the sad excuse of a man, he can stay if he pays with a little bit of labor. She can’t be serious! Has she forgotten what he has done? He doesn’t want him anywhere near her. But of course, as the angel she is, she believes in second chances. He’s ready to commit murder. He knows so many different ways to hide a body.

Yet, he finds himself letting the other man stay, even though he really doesn’t want to, as Evangeline talks to him. 

At night. 

When they are alone.

In their room.

Being very convincing in her arguments. And Jacks finds a flaw he has. As he realizes what exactly happened last night. It’s not fair of her to turn his brain to mush like that and talk him into doing stuff. When he’s not in his right mind and they have no clothes on.

When did she learn to be like this? Where did she learn this kind of thing? Oh yes, probably from him. Or her books. It was actually probably from her romance books. Dammit! Now he has to endure Luc’s presence. Just his lucky day. Seems like he won’t leave his girlfriend’s side for how long the vampire is present.

Luc on his account is terrible at everything. Burning all the food he tries to make. Or making something so horrible that it doesn’t even look like food anymore. So, he’s moved into washing dishes. Which ends up being as bad. He ends up breaking more dishes than washing them. And the ones he accomplishes to wash, are done so in such a suspicious way Evangeline ends up washing it again. Just to make sure no one will catch any disease. She gives him different tasks. And he fails miserably at all of them.

She starts regretting letting him stay. With that in mind, she tells herself she will talk to him. Jacks encourages her to kick him out, eager to get rid of him. But she says that they will compromise. All that flies out the window when she sees his real intentions to wanting to stay at The Hollow.

One day, when it becomes just the three of them at the inn, Luc reveals his hand. Thinking this was his chance since Eva was napping in one of the many couches in the lounge and Jacks wasn’t around for once. Though he did think it was weird. The blond never left his girlfriend’s side since the vampire arrived days ago.

But thinking the coast is clear, he pounces on the sleeping girl’s form and holds her down. And when she wakes up thrashing against him, he holds her down firmly. Gently telling her he simply needs a little drink of her blood and that he will let her go afterwards.

Trying to get her to cooperate but as she continues struggling, he goes for her neck without her permission. But before he can sink his fangs into her skin, he’s harshly ripped from her. And he hits the ground hard. Jacks wants to badly to rip the bastard’s face, but he prioritizes checking up on his partner. Making sure she’s somewhat fine. And he knows even after all of this, she wouldn’t like him to brawl with Luc.

So, he tells him to get lost. More like screams it. But the point is made. Luc scrambles for the door without another word.

The couple stay silent for some time after that, taking in what happened and calming themselves down.

And the still shaken up girl breaks the silence.

“He was terrible at everything anyways.”

Jacks just gives her a bewildering look and brings her closer to his chest.

Good thing Luc is not a very bright person and took his bait.

He gave him the opening Jacks needed to force him out of The Hollow.

Reading

One of Evangeline’s favorite hobbies is reading.

Especially romance books. Therefore, it’s only natural that reading with Jacks becomes one of her favourite activities.

Be it with her boyfriend lying on her lap as she reads to him. The latter fully relaxed as he listens to his pretty girlfriend’s voice. As her fingers run through his blond locks.

Or sitting side by side, each one of them with a book chosen by the other. Eva complaining jokingly about the books her boyfriend chooses for her. As he takes the opportunity to mess with her. Giving the pink-haired girl, weird books for her to read, or scary ones. It’s not his fault she has the cutest reactions.

But the truth is that he becomes extremely embarrassed and shy when he gives her romance books he liked. And when she’s reading a book he recommended, truly recommended, he spends the whole time observing Evangeline. With racing thoughts of his own.

Is she liking it?

What does she think about this character?

Why is she laughing?

Does she think it’s a stupid book?

In the end, he only read 5 pages of his own book.

Don’t misunderstand him!

He loves reading the books his girlfriend likes. Jacks loves to find out why his partner likes it so much. And they’re a great source of inspiration. As he uses some of the things he learns from it, on his cute girlfriend. Eager to see if she flushes at the flirtation.

And it gives him more insight about her.

As they spend hours talking about what they read. Trading opinions as they learn more and more about each other.

Crafts

Another activity they like to do together is making crafts together.

From bracelets to flower crowns, bookmarks and other things. Taking the challenge of trying new things together.

They will browse the local shops in the morning for materials to make bracelets for one another. Using colors they think fit the other.

Or making it for themselves. After Evangeline had the idea of making one for herself with the color of Jacks’s eyes. Wanting to always have a token of her boyfriend with her. Later pushing him to do the same for himself. Helping him find colours that match her grey eyes.

As they both struggle in the beginning, the soft girl is more natural at it than her partner. Who struggles immensely. Making Evangeline laugh at his distress and predicament. Finding him cute at the same time.

As he sits in a blanket they brought, shaded by a big oak tree, and he curses at the mess of a bracelet he’s making. Talking to it as if it’s going to pull itself together without his intervention.

It only gets worse when they make flower crowns. If Jacks thought making bracelets was hard, then he was really not prepared for what was coming next.

Evangeline weaves the flowers very calmly, taking a deep breath when she messes up and tries again once more. And her boyfriend looks close to throwing himself from a cliff. Staring angrily at the flowers in his hands, that are losing petals from his rough handling. So, he looks at his lover to see how she’s doing.

Which he shouldn’t have done.

As he feels even more defeated when he sees how much progress she has made with less than half of the struggle he had.

Evangeline, being the soft soul, she is, tells him she will like whatever flower crown he makes her. Since he tried so hard and chose such pretty flowers that go with her hair. But Jacks just looks back at his lap, wondering if he can call monstrosity a flower crown. And after he was so confident in his skills! Saying that since he’s so good with his hands, he should have no problems with it.

He should have known that being good with your hands in a more private context doesn’t necessarily mean being good at crafts.

And as his girlfriend teases him, while softly encouraging him, he makes a promise to later remind her just how good he can be with his hands.

Play date

Another thing they like to do is play with the small animals that live around The Hollow.

Evangeline will spend hours researching what each one of them eats and their behavior. Feeling accomplished when the animals seem to gain a certain affection towards her and creep closer to the inn.

She’ll slowly approach a little deer as she extends food hoping it will take it from her outstretched hand. And when it does, although hesitantly, the pink-haired girl beams brightly and turns to her boyfriend. Seeing if he saw it.

He did. He’s always watching her. And he feels his heart swell with love at his girlfriend’s happiness. As the small dear eats from her hand.

But he’s more aware when Evangeline wants to make friends with the foxes she sees. Or the little dragons that sometimes lie on the rooftop of The Hollow. Afraid she’ll hurt herself. What if they bite her. Or even burn her? A sentiment she doesn’t seem to share. Reassuring him she knows exactly how to behave so they’re not hostile.

Of course, Jacks keeps a close eye, ready to intervene if necessary.

Yet, nothing bad happens. And Jacks has a suspicion that the animals know his girlfriend has a good heart. Therefore, letting her come close and growing fond of her.

And so he watches. As she runs around playing with a small group of foxes. Not exactly understanding if they’re playing tag or catch. It looks like the little group of animals are running after her. As if they’re tagging her. But from time to time, Evangeline will throw a big stick, and the foxes race after it. Bringing it back so she can throw it again.

But he supposes that doesn’t matter. What’s important to him is seeing how much she is enjoying herself.

Even if that joy itself sometimes brings trouble. As she tends to bring lost animals to The Hollow, hating to leave them alone outside.

Always having an argument to counter his. It’s because they’re cold. Or hungry.

Or injured.

Or alone.

Or cute.

Or or or.

And because he’s a sucker for her, he lets her win. Of course, most of the animals return to the wild after a while, they can’t keep all of them. Even if Evangeline wishes they could.

Evangeline Fox x Jacks of The Hollow, and their weird friends?

Jacks who often follows Evangeline on her way to meet Lala. And ends up hanging out with the two girls. All the while beefing with Lala. Despite Evangeline telling him to behave but the other girl insists that it’s ok. That she likes squabbling with him. It’s their love language. They have a peculiar friendship.

Even though he doesn’t admit it, Jacks is grateful to Lala for being Evangeline’s friend. Does he like sharing his girlfriend’s attention? Not really. But he sees how much Eva likes the other girl and how she looks forward to hanging out with her. And you could never get it out of him, but he does like Lala. Even though they are always fighting.

Evangeline, who has had many times Jacks interrupt girl’s time, asks him why he doesn’t go hang out with Chaos for a change. He looks at her crazy. And she doesn’t understand why. He literally became a fate in camaraderie with the other. He tells her their relationship is rather complicated, especially since what he had done to her. Never being able to forget Eva’s cold body in his arms.

The pink haired girl sees his point and understands how hard it can be. But tries to remind him that he can’t fault him for something that is now his natural instincts. That’s what vampires do. And no matter how hard they try to fight it, it will always be their nature. Just like Lala who knew she wouldn’t be able to get to the end of the ceremony but couldn’t fight the desire to get married.

Evangeline looks at said girl for support and Lala asks Jacks if he really wants to sit with them and hear about her conflicting boy problems. As she’s in a dilemma with her previous lover. The dragon. That makes the blond spring up from where he is and bolt for the door. Not forgetting to drop a kiss on his girlfriend’s head before fleeing.

Reluctantly, he goes searching for Castor, having nothing better to do. When he finds the other man, he doesn’t know who’s more at a loss for words. Him or the vampire. Who gives him a questioning look, not having expected him. Jacks tries horribly to start a conversation.

“Sooooooooooo, how are you doing?” Silence follows for some excruciatingly painful seconds. And then deep laughter erupts from the other’s mouth.

Jacks for once, is red on the face from a reason different than his girlfriend. Chaos wheezes and takes deep breaths in order to be able to breathe between his laughter.

“This is so uncharacteristic of you dear friend. I just know it was Evangeline who made you do this.”

Feeling defeated, the former prince of hearts makes his way to a chair and drops himself there. Suddenly exhausted with the world.

He begins to explain to the other how Lala threatened him with her love problems and how she teamed up with Evangeline. Telling him to seek the vampire and “hang out” just as the two girls are doing.

Chaos at the mention of a certain girl’s name perks up. And Jacks starts to look for the nearest window or place he can throw himself from. He did not flee Lala’s house just to talk about said girl with the vampire! He’s NOT a lover’s counselor. If anything, they should go to Eva for that.

Evangeline Fox x Jacks of the hollow

Girlfriend Evangeline who loves trying new baking recipes and gives her baking attempts to her boyfriend to try it out. Waiting eagerly for Jacks to taste it and see what he thinks. Pouting if he decides to spare her feelings and say it’s good, instead of being honest so she can improve her baking skills. She becomes better at reading his expressions, solely to see if he’s being truthful with her baking or not.

Boyfriend Jacks who doesn’t have the heart to tell his girlfriend that the cupcakes she made are downright awful. So, he eats two or three to convince her how much he likes it. He leaned against the kitchen door, watching her bake to her heart’s content, full of flour on her clothes and hair. Even while making a mess of the kitchen, he thinks she’s the cutest thing to ever exist.

Girlfriend Evangeline who insists they bake together. Saying it will be fun and that maybe the cakes will turn out better with two people making them. They don’t. It actually turns worse. But even though the cakes are barely edible, they are both laughing. As they have fun together and see their terrible predicament. To get better, they purchase some baking recipes and try again while following the instructions.

It doesn’t get much better right away. But they keep trying and eventually they start to get it. Not before ending up covered in flour and egg yolks. Having a food fight in the middle of baking a red velvet cake. Ending up breathless and like two big messes with huge smiles on their faces.

They end up cleaning each other as they wait for the cake to bake. Watching the oven as they sit on the floor against each other, agreeing that they need to take a shower soon. Which makes the pink haired girl blush as the boy says to ditch the cake and just get in the shower together right now. But Evangeline doesn’t want to burn the cake and waste all the effort they made.

And so, they wait for the cake to be ready.

Playful Kiss

Eva asks Jacks to train her some more so Jacks will be less worry and overbearing. Not a chance Jacks thought, but he wouldn't mind teaching her how to fight. Wouldn't mind at all an excuse to touch her, not that he needs any now.

After being knocked around a lot and got very much frustrated, Eva eventually got Jacks underneath her (he lets her take him down ofc).
