Today we celebrate the Venerable Nun Martyr Eudocia the Samaritan. Saint Eudocia was a pagan who led a sinful life of all earthly pleasures and debauchery. She one day, however, heard a monk in the house next door to hers reading from the scriptures about the coming Judgment and Christ's love and forgiveness of all who repent. These words pierced her soul and she approached the monk and asked him to instruct her more in the Christian life. She soon sold all her possessions and joined a convent as a nun. One day, one of her former lovers came to the monastery, begging her to return to her former life, but she reproved him and he was struck down dead by an invisible force. Out of pity, she prayed to the Lord to resurrect the man and he returned to life. During her life there was a great persecution of Christians, of which Eudocia suffered greatly and was eventually beheaded. May she intercede for us always + #saint #eudocia #eudokia #evdokia #nun #nunmartyr #martyr #venerable #holy #judgment #christ #repentance #jesus #jesuschrist #prayer #monastery #convent #repent #martyrdom #persecution #christian #christians #orthodox #saintoftheday (at Baalbek, Lebanon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpN2AMzoOPy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
The Boat Babes found Eridhion’s twin sister, Eudocia. She’s normally in her warrior attire but he met her for brunch and she came in a sun dress and hat, aaaa!
Eudocia | Byzantine Empress
She was a Pagan before being Christian and highly cultured woman, who in rivalry with her sister-in-law the empress Pulcheria, exercised great influence over her husband Theodosius II until her withdrawal from Constantinople.

Regarding the Eudocia Tomas Pulido argument
I have recently been sent a screenshot of a post talking about "My Family's Slave", where a Filipino family enslaved an African-American woman named Eudocia Tomas Pulido. Now, everyone should agree that Eudocia was a slave. She was forced to serve under this family against her will. NOTHING EXCUSES that. But what makes this argument more infuriating is the fact that people say that the Filipinos' system of hired help, "katulong", is SLAVERY and is EVIL. This is wrong. SLAVERY is evil, SLAVERY is what Eudocia has suffered. But SLAVERY IS NOT HIRED HELP itself. Yes, there are katulongs who are abused by their employers, their amos, and these amos must be punished accordingly for abuse. But simply having katulongs is NOT abuse. SLAVERY is SLAVERY. Eudocia Tomas Pulido was ENSLAVED. ALL OF US KNOW that Eudocia WAS NOT HIRED HELP. AND HIRED HELP ITSELF IS NOT SLAVERY OR ABUSE.

“This is going to go wrong so much I can’t even put it into words,” Hecate complained, her mouth – the only part of her face, other than her chin, visible beneath her cowl – twisted into a frown as she leaned onto her staff, gripping it tightly with both hands. The green jewel at its top was stirring with greenish light and black smoke, as if responding to her nervousness… which…
