I’m using the Ethereal Visions deck with art from Matt Hughes. It includes two additional major arcana cards. When I pull one of the extra cards I use it to frame the next card I pull and use both cards in one spot.

So using the Artist as the frame for what has been weighing on me, Death, I’ve been struggling to determine what my next steps are in my outside endeavors. I’ve worked for many years as a Network Analyst, then I switched my focus to my children, now they are older I am trying to figure out the best use of my skills and time. Lately I have been a guest teacher.

Creatively being an IT pro was never fulfilling. Being a parent I’ve been able to explore more creative ideas. Being a guest teacher has been really fun, helping kids in small ways feels amazing. Death signals a new start or new adventure. I’ve been seriously considering taking classes in education. Not to become a full time teacher but to help me better understand children’s needs.

The fool encourages me to take on this new path with a sense of fun and free spiritedness. Remaining as innocent as the kids I work with.

The Eight of Swords challenges me to understand that what holds me back is myself and my perceptions of lack of skills.
