Some designs
i find it eternally funny that polynices is better known as a troublesome corpse than as a living character, but i just realized that due to the antigone being THE surviving text concerning the oedipoidides it means really only three out of four siblings get their moment in the spotlight (even if it is a post-mortem one for polynices)
eteocles really going for live fast, die young, leave behind a completely uncontroversial corpse that can be buried without any complications whatsoever
which member of the house of cadmus would benefit from estrogen the most?
cadmus
actaeon
pentheus
laius
oedipus
creon
haemon
eteocles
polynices
other?

This is about brothers (and sisters): but this is about brothers who pull each other into death, this is about brothers who ask for promises that will only lead to disaster, this is about brothers who lay a claim and say, you can either have both of us or neither of us, this is about brothers who are a curse to each other, this is about brothers who drag their brothers straight into tragedy with them.
The doomed house of Laius
The way Creon and Eteocles have a more father/son-type of dynamic compared to Oedipus with Eteocles and Polynices or Creon with Haemon... Not gonna lie, since they all lived at the royal court I'm wondering if Eteocles is the type of son Creon always wanted to have instead of Haemon, or if Haemon is the type of son Oedipus always wanted to have instead of Eteocles and Polynices.
