Impermanent Art’s 2021 in review continues with 10 classic Los Angeles murals we revisited this year:
1. Danny Trejo portrait by Levi Ponce in Pacoima, based on a reference photo by Estevan Oriol. Originally painted in 2011, restored in 2021.
2. Beau Stanton in Koreatown for the RFK Mural Festival. Originally painted in 2016, touched up in 2021.
3. ‘Make Art Not War’ - a 2013 work by Shepard Fairey in Los Feliz.
4. ‘Parting Kiss’ - a 2017 work by D*Face in Silver Lake, produced by Branded Arts.
5. ‘Good Can Come From Bad Can Come From Good’ - a 2011 work by Herakut, painted on a reclaimed section of the Berlin Wall that sits on Wilshire Blvd. Part of the Wende Museum’s “The Wall Project”.
6. A 2016 work by Tristan Eaton in Culver City.
7. ‘RIP MCA’ - a 2013 work by David Flores in Atwater Village.
8. Work by Hueman in Koreatown for 2016′s RFK Mural Festival.
9. ‘What About Tomorrow’s Children’ - a 2011 work by Mear One on a Silver Lake rooftop.
10. ‘Morning Shot’ by Rip Cronk in Venice Beach. Painted in 1981 and restored in 2012.
