Stop lying bruh they literally act like a high school clique on social media. And I’ve seen multiple people say they were rude and mean when they met them at concerts acting like they were somehow above the rest of the fans there.

Just because you think the current groupies are less toxic doesn't mean we gotta accept and deal with it. It's gotten so bad that we now have fans of fans like they're some kinda celebrities just because they happened to be privileged and dance their asses off on tiktok that automatically puts them on a pedestal ! That's problematic. They're no better than any fan who all they can afford to support the artist is by listening to the music like any normal person would! buying merch when they can, correcting misinformation whenever they come across it and introducing his music to other people.

There's no hierarchy in EST it's shameful what's happening. So instead of treating it like it’s just the way things are, how about we start calling this bullshit out every time we see it until it stops?

i like that group but not everyone has that free time and money to do that… all I want to say is that there’s a lot of ppl that use socials in a really good way and they barely get noticed by him and that’s not fair because it seems like he want to give them more attention just because they have the time and money to travel.

I think it honestly comes down to the people who don’t like the genre switches simply being in the minority with their opinions.

it’s true that they post a lot of tiktoks, and they deserve to be recognized by him, but why only them? there are many fans on instagram and twitter who are very supportive and promote his music. they just don’t put themselves out there by making photos and videos, but they still create lots of posts and tweets. just like i think the popular group deserves to be recognized by mgk, i also know that i — and many other people — deserve that recognition too. even when it comes to likes and comments, he mainly interacts only with them and occasionally with random people (who, however, still have some connection to those girls).

it doesn’t feel fair, and i don’t understand why he behaves this way. at the end of the day, we are all equal, and everyone has their own way of supporting and promoting him.

Now the "multi genre king" thing; it started with some fans hyping up every single song he put out and glazing everything without much criticism. somewhere along the way though it turned into this expectation that he actually had to prove it.

Now the more I watch his recent interviews the more I get the feeling that he’s been subconsciously distancing himself from being a rapper.

Musically (hell maybe even personally) I don’t think he’s ever seemed more lost than he does right now. No matter how much he says he’s “free” and doesn’t care what people think, he constantly doubles down on public opinion and seeks validation.

But honestly how did we get here? How's the whole situation changed? At first it was an homage to pop punk and the transition was actually pretty organic he soft launched it on the last track on hotel diablo but for the life of me I cant understand how we ended up with the mess that is LA?!!

That era was confusing AF on every level and honestly pretty off putting.

But I think the issue goes way beyond the album.. if you’ve been following him closely you’ve probably noticed a pattern of ( I don't wanna say inconsistency ) but frequent changes and then these weird imaginary battles where he feels the need to stubbornly prove that he’s a master of every genre for some reason? Which honestly makes me sad, because I still remember him confidently saying during the HD press run that he’d finally found his perfect sound a balance between rap, hip hop, and heavy music and that he wished he’d been making music like that from the beginning.
