If Jax were transmasc, it would only serve to further alienate transmascs from queer spaces, as lately they've been stereotyped as being... woah... violently misogynistic just because they identify as a man. I don't understand?? Why people think this is a good idea??
If Jax is simply a femboy, then that means Jax is still being targeted for fetishization and still having this part of his identity treated as a joke, and also abstracting over it, so it really just doesn't change anything.
I mean, you're free to have your own alternate versions / interpretations of course. I said myself that it'd be cool if Jax was bigender (though still transfem). Thing is, you can't overwrite it as if it'd suddenly magically be better just because Jax is some other form of queer, that's very dismissive, and while I won't say it, I do have to agree that it's rather uncomfortable to see people fawning over some imagined male version of Jax that oh-so-magically fixes a problem that simply wouldn't go away either way.
