Vivayth doesn't 'worship' Azura so much as she pays reverence to her, much as any Dunmer reveres their ancestors— as that's what the Daedra are to her, and to those who follow the original Prophecies of Veloth (such as the ancient Chimer, and the Ashlanders of today). She strives to embody her ideals, her edicts, and all that encompasses 'Azura'; this means loving the self wholly and in parts, keeping to the mysteries of the cosmos, listening to the messages from the world of dreams, bringing down light upon ignorance... and of course, magic.

While the Dunmer don't really have a "god of magic" like many other Tamrielic cultures— Sotha Sil notwithstanding— Azura comes close to filling that niche to Vivayth. She looks to her for understanding the nuances and secrets of sorcery and moving mana like Azura moves through perception. The Cosmic Severer is the holder of the stars and their whispers, and for all the years that Vivayth has given Azura due respect, she comes to an increasing understanding of all the wonders that lie between the realms of magic, from the pull of natural energies as one manifests their will to the ebb and flow that determines the shape and sound of mysticism—whether it's flame, sound, or something unseen.

And in holding the spark of magic, the song of her Soul, she dances with the Divine, feels oneness with the Mother of Twilight, and basks in the sanctity that is magic that Azura taught to her foremothers.
