Reread @esamastations ”Gift of Living Well” (again) and I had a mighty need to draw Desmond in his white robes (though I drew a cloak, because artistic liberty? I guess..?) making the water evaporate to dry himself and Giovanna. He better hope no one else was on that road or they might have gotten a real fright, thinking they’ve seen a ghost!

I recently read @esamastation’s fanfiction, Visionary, and I’m in love with the descriptions of Naoka!

These were some initial sketches and thoughts, though every time I draw I remember something new (Kakashi’s ear is bigger than Obito’s, dammit!) and lots of rereading to copy and paste descriptions to try and make sure everything’s accurate.

Personally, I don’t like the colour Naruto’s skin is portrayed in canon (and nor does a lot of the fandom if his fanon tan skin is anything to go by) so I ignored it completely in favour of just making my own skin tone.

Promised myself that the first thing that I would draw on my new tablet would be Desmond the Dragon from @esamastation s fic ”Dragons, propably”, so here we are! It’s more of a sketch than a polished illustration, but it’s done! Wasn’t really sure how ”Apple of Eden” I should make Desmonds markings, but ended up mimicking their pattern quite closely instead of a more natural stripe, since I felt this looked better.

Since Viera is going to be a playable race starting in FFXIV: Shadowbringers, I am super excited to be able to make my retainer look like Rainstorm (or as close as they can get to it) when 5.0 finally drops this weekend.
