Imagining Errare resting his head against Damask's shoulder and Damask having his arm around his shoulders in such an intimate closeness like two old war bros. No they've never had sex with each other or dated or anything but they have a bond that goes deeper than what most people experience in their lives.
Which is why after the Thing happens, Errare is so so angry and so so hurt that a century or more later that his bitterness hasn't quelled from the betrayal, and Damask has to live with that loss.
No one knows what it's like to be the bad man. To be the sad man. And no one knows what it's like to be hated. To be fated to telling only lies.
