A Christmas Rave - Last night I went to the Melbourne Writers Social remembering on the way I’ve been dropping in for over 10 years! You get less time for murder, right? Anyway, it’s Christmas time…even I can find some Christmas cheer! (It’s getting harder every year 😢) The thing is you see, you never know what you are going to find out once you leave your flat! Ain’t that true? Last night is proof of that! Back to my story… I arrive at the writer’s social and I start chatting to this guy who does a podcast on gay erotica. Writes his own stories. WTF! This is a first I swear! Never ever have I met a writer of erotica at the social, mostly people are writing self-help books or science fiction novels. Now this is interesting, I always believe creatively there is something to learn. And…it turns out my writer friend believes TicTok is good for podcasting. Who’d have thought? TicTok? And I thought it was just about dumb dance routines and sexy bodies. I must be watching the wrong videos. And there’s more… he gets thousands of down-loads (pun intended) of his gay erotica podcasts. Of course, my mind starts thinking, “jeez you best get this dude on your podcast channel!” But more importantly, and this really surprised me…I realised I’m completely in the wrong business. I’ve been trying to entertain people when I should have been trying to turn everyone on. This was one of the very special custom orders I've received recently! 😃👻 I was overjoyed when I was asked to create this fab little ghost based on Stepanie's best selling book, @wax_whips_and_my_hairy_bits! The book is an absolutely hilarious look into Ann (without an "e"...) who decides, later in life, that she wants to spice up her sex life! If Fifty Shades of Grey wasn't for you, then this book definitely is 😂 I really wanted to incorporate the main aspects of the book into the ghost, so it contains a miniature, dark blue scented Yankee Candle, a tube of Immac hair removal cream, a copy of the book in miniature form, and of course a riding crop... You'll have to read it to find out how they're relevant... 😜 I had SO much fun making this, and it was a real honour to be asked to do it! I loved creating and sourcing the little miniatures, so there are definitely going to be a few new types of ghost in the future 😉 Apologies for the photo quality - I was too excited to send this one off to the recipient 😄 Thanks so much Stephanie!
