"Arl Eamon suspected that Erlina is more than a simple servant, and for once I agree with him lmao. I have been shipping Anora and Erlina so hard since I first played DA:O back in 2012 that sometimes I forget that this ship isn't canon 😭There's just so much potential for angst and yearning between these two!! Anora has no one else in her corner: her husband let her down, even her father betrayed her. The only shoulder she can lean on is her trusted handmaiden. But Erlina being Orlesian makes things so much more complicated… It also opens doors for some pretty juicy plot twists. Could Erlina be a spy sent by empress Celene? If that's the case, is she a cold and calculated manipulator playing Anora like a fiddle, or is it a Katriel type of situation where the spy ends up developing genuine feelings for her target? Who knows! One thing for certain, though: you can take this ship in many different but equally juicy directions!"

Eamon: She's obviously more than a maidservant. But I imagine it's useful for Anora to have a trusted attendant who can move more freely than she herself.
