Struggled with the face a bit and it ended up looking extra angry.

I seem to have missed most of baby bird season for various scheduling reasons, but here's a juvenile robin from the park yesterday.
My latest crafting project is not doll related...
...I have been busy making my grandson his birthday present.
His name is Robin and today he's 2 years old ❤️
I made him a 3D painting of a (European) robin.
Compleet with scientific name label: Erithacus rubecula.
I've wanted to give this painting a special kind of atmosphere; historical, museum like, you know.
So I also designed the back of it, like it traveled the world for many years (I love the back!).
The wooden frame is thrifted, I used some sandpaper for showing the woodgrain. The giant robin is sculpted with paperclay and painted with acrylic paints.
This Robin was very curious what we were doing and if we scared some bugs ore worms they could eat
I was helping my sister cut back some bushes
