"August?" Eris mocked a surprised gasp, she even forced a smile to curve her lips. She hadn't changed one bit since school, sure she was more womanly in figure now and she'd grown a few inches but she'd never been tall. She'd been exceptionally small in school. Pipsqueak, thumbelina.. various taunts and silly nicknames got thrown her way back then but nobody would ever dare to utter a word to her anymore.
Eris played this act with everyone, fake a smile, act like she wasn't concealing six knives at every given moment of sunlight hours. One tucked into each boot, one thin and almost needle like dagger hidden within her hairstyle, behind the gathering of deep, thick auburn waves, the one strapped to her thigh made four. The last two where on her back, hidden beneath her blouse, holstered with leather. Easy to reach back and take the handle from. Oh, how she looked the cold steel of a blade.
"It's been so long, it's so nice to.." she watched him, those large eyes never leaving him, not for a single beat. She knew why he was here and she wondered how it might affect him, someone from his childhood to play meek and feeble. Would he crumble at her plead? It'd be entertaining to see just how trained he was. He'd know all about her, that much she knew. She made a point to move her hands up near her chest, give that image of a defenseless little animal, a little scared bunny rabbit trapped in a corner, with knitted brows and glistening eyes. She would've made a fantastic actress.
"Are you.. August, are you going to hurt me?" her lower lip trembled. Inwardly, Eris was finding this mockery of hers hilarious. "I don't know what I did." she even made a point to have her voice soften, to sound small, inferior, just as someone might expect from her. "I got into trouble I didn't meant to do anything wrong, you have to believe me, I wouldn't hurt anyone August, that isn't me you know me you.. I'm scared, please don't hurt me." she said all of this whilst back stepping, making a point to keep and create what distance she could. "Please August, you're scaring me." Eris was anything but scared.
