3. What's a wip you've procrastinated on the longest? Why?

Because of university I usually end up holding off on starting anything new in the middle of a term. In general, probably The Wand and the Wolf.

Originally the wand and the wolf was called A Ferals Howl and it was somewhat different but it was missing real stakes, the original plot just didn't have enough punch to it. I set it aside for several months until I figured out that I wanted to make a whole new universe (see: Raynor) and then I heavily tweaked the story line to make the wand and the wolf!!

9. What are you struggling the most with in finishing your current wips?

Torture scenes. It's gonna hurt my oc, it's gonna hurt me, it's gonna hurt the reader. I have been stuck here for about 2 months just circling it gently but I'm gonna have to write it as some point 🙃

I’m a little late in buying, and I confess that’s cause I don’t usually read ebooks and was a little slow to get set up. I ended up digging out an old nook, as pictured, and luckily it still works! I wish I could take some aesthetic pics, but unfortuuunately nothing I own would make for a good setup.

I wanted to heckin’ do this irl and take a picture just so you know.

But alas, I had no lavender on hand. (It hasn’t sprouted yet.)

Malachite: What do your characters have to lose?

Kyda is a werewolf, and for the wolves, mate binds and family is their top priority (very much Dominic Toretto vibes) so for her, having a good relationship with Ibhan, whether platonic or romantic, is everything for her and damaging that relationship can actually cause her physical pain.

Ibhan is a warlock and they are much more recluse, but the one relationship they do value is soul mates and is probably the only meaningful relationship many of them will ever have. But Ibhan has a lot of baggage that he just can't seem to work through, and he may lose the only person willing to look past that because of it.

Pyrite: Could the antagonist and protagonist ever be friends?

Thank you for the asks! For the first one, uh the one I’m rewriting right now! It has some Holocaust themes that I didn’t notice before and since I’m a goy with a very American goy understanding of the Holocaust I don’t feel like it’s my place to write something with those themes. I haven’t figured out if I need to remove them from the story or if I need to lean into them and make it purposeful or if it’s just me being hypercritical of my own writing and it’s not as big of a deal as I think it is yet. I did write a story, around the same time as the first draft as this one (2012?) that I finished and then had to abandon because I didn’t know at that point that W*nd*go weren’t what I thought they were and are not something that white people are in a position to write about. It’s all about listening, learning, and growing.
