yesterday brought in patch 12.08 and im here to talk about it because i literally have nothing better to do atm
first up is email. i actually kinda like this lol i find it so endearing that breach is trying to get his degree amid the backdrop of VP crashing and burning LMFAO, i love it. gl to breach on his finals
next up is voice comm. very interesting interaction between viper and sova. seems like he’s really conflicted and wrestling himself, and viper is desperately trying for him to not do that LOL. i just wished it was longer tbh, i really want them to hash it out, especially when sova starting calling viper out. im sure some fic writers could bang out a really great scene with this
finally it’s voicemail time. sage swearing is such a strong choice here and I definitely think it pays off well. definitely seeing that savior complex for sage crumble completely here. i liked this, thought it was nice. naomi yang is just so great as per usual
my one complaint with this patch is that it feels like we’re just stuck. sure, sage is taking a bed rest, put nothing has really changed. definitely calls into question on whether these “year of lore” storylines are a good idea if there is just no motivation to keep a good pace.
but other than, this patch Didn’t Make Me Upset so this is going down as a win in book. definitely lmk how you guys feel about this patch though ✌️
