– I said… Ace and Gene are so.. strong, so powerful… and I? I only…
– You only hear everything, see everything, smell everything? You only can communicate with humans as if you were one of them? Listen, Eric. Maybe they are powerful and all, but look at them! They scare people with their behavior and appearance! And you? You are… cute. You never scare anyone. Even with your mask.
– My mask that I can’t even hide!
– I already told you, I‘m working on it.
– You should do something about my limbs as well!
– Really? Are you saying that you know better than I do?
this is an example. i started it in AUGUST, thought „wow what a shit“ and forgot until January. i tried to fix it but still it’s weird i just dislike it… posting this only because the idea is good and because i want to tell something about Hyperspace Exit
so here are all our non-humans, Peter promised to join them, but changed his mind and now feels the consequences
And the first thing I want to show you are the non-humans in their most natural form: Gene showing off his tongue, Ace-space-bug, eepy Peter, and Eric just being Eric!
I'm also happy to announce that my AU now has its own tag, #hyperspaceexit, and a special tag for chapters only, #hsechapter, if you want to reread anything, you can quickly find it.
There are so many things I want to show you right now, but... everything in its turn =]

Peter is an alien from another part of the Milky Way, the Scutum-Centaurus Arm. He came to Earth because he didn’t feel safe on his home planet. He didn’t crash, he didn’t end up on Earth by accident. He knew exactly what he was doing. Upon arrival, Peter settled in a forest, turning his ship into a full-fledged laboratory.
Eric is a genetic experiment created by Peter in his Earth-based lab. Peter wanted to make a better version of himself, but it seems something went wrong.
Shared Abilities of Eric and Peter:
ꕤ Keen Hearing
They can detect frequencies from 20 Hz to 64,000 Hz and hear quiet sounds (like whispering) from about 30 meters away.
ꕤ Sharp Vision
They see perfectly at a distance of 100 meters, but there’s a downside: they suffer from farsightedness.
ꕤ Sense of Smell
Both can detect as few as 10⁵ molecules/m³ (as Deepseek explained for comparison: that’s like one drop of sweat on a football field (10,000 m³)).
ꕤ Silent Movement
Their feet are incredibly soft, allowing them to move without making a sound, though this ability is lost when they wear shoes.
Their Differences
ꕤ Eric’s mask is Peter’s failed attempt at replicating his own: instead of using Cu₂(CO₃)(OH)₂, Peter accidentally used copper(II) oxide, which is why Eric’s mask has a reddish color instead of green. The iron oxide was also picked wrong, resulting in mismatched lip colors. On top of that, the pigment in the mask spread wrong, making them look even more different. And as the cherry on top, Peter didn’t double-check the genome he used, grabbing a fox’s instead of a cat’s. Long story short, he wanted to create a better version of himself but ended up making something entirely different. Still, they get along great! Peter even sewed a suit for Eric!
All this, Eric was explaining to Ace as they walked.
"If even within a single galaxy there are stupid beings like Earthlings and highly advanced like Peter, how many more could be out there?"
"Who?"
"Aliens! Ace has already counted four! Is that how it supposed to be?"
"Hey, I’m not an alien!"
"But Eric isn’t human, so it counts!"
"Alright, shut up, we’re almost there."
"What? There’s nothing but trees, how you gonna find anything?"
"Dumbass, I told you, by smell."
Eric sniffed the air, took Ace’s hand, and led him forward. After a while, they stumbled upon a camouflaged ship.
"There it is. Go on, do your thing, you’re the electric one, right?"
"Is that even allowed?"
"Would the answer change what you’re about to do?"
Of course not. Ace slipped inside and opened the entrance for Eric from the inside. If you’re wondering why they’re doing this, it’s just their attempt at being stealthy. Naturally, it doesn’t work, and Peter comes out to meet them.
"Long time no see."
Aww, the heartwarming reunion of creator and creation! So touching! Time to introduce the cat-alien to the guest from another galaxy. Ace clearly piqued Peter’s interest, now that’s some high-level genetics! If Ace’s creator were here, Peter would’ve shaken his hand, no, he’d have kissed him!
"What’s your suit made of?"
"Ace don’t know. Look what Ace can do!"
Ace pulled out extra arms, showing off how his suit adapted: it didn’t tear but instead stretched around his limbs, forming two new sleeves.
"So it’s keyed to your DNA and always adjusts to you? Must be really comfortable, too."
"Yes! Like a second skin!"
"Peter, can you make me a cool suit like that? With the genetic code thing!"
"Why would you need that? Haha, you don’t have extra arms."
"Well, no… Also, I can’t hide my mask, and Ace says he can!"
"Yes, Ace can."
And Ace demonstrated his camouflage.
"Ace looks human."
"Whoa… Hey, Eric, if Ace lets me study how he works, maybe I can add that function to you too… and myself, probably."
"Study how he works? Take Ace apart?"
"No, just take a blood sample and analyze it."
"Wait, you can do that?"
"Of course. In my lab, anything’s possible, it’s not like Earth’s underdeveloped tech… Come on."
They spent the rest of the evening at Peter’s place. There, they discovered that Ace has blue blood, like mollusks, because it contains hemocyanin instead of hemoglobin. Peter also figured out how Ace’s mask works and started planning how to add the same function to Eric, who was completely exhausted by the end of the day.
"Your creator’s laziness is genius."
"Yes, Carl is genius!"
"Peter is genius too!"
"Not like Carl."
"Yeah, right…."
"Carl knew that Ace would need to hide on Earth. Peter didn’t."
"Then why did your Carl even let you end up on Earth?!"
"Carl didn’t let it happen, it was an accident!"
"Okay, enough! You can’t compare us, we’re from different galaxies. It’s not fair."
"Why hasn’t anyone come for Ace yet? With their tech, they can’t find him?"
Good point, why hasn’t anyone come? No, Ace doesn’t want to go back, he’s got friends here, fun, everything! But just thinking about it… has Ace become unwanted? Or did something happen to Carl? Right, anything could’ve happened, he stayed behind on Jendell, surrounded by galactic police, and told Ace to run as far as he could. Now this question will haunt Ace until he finds the answer.
