Found some xeroxes of a story I drew & lettered a million years ago. Script by Eric Shanower from a story by Ruth Plumly Thompson.

Back then I was always looking for an excuse to draw like my favorite pen & ink illustrators from the golden age of book & magazine illustration.

My primary influence on this would have been Charles Dana Gibson, but I’m sure I had a big pile of works by Arthur Rackham, JC Coll, Daniel Vierge, James M Flagg and others stacked up next to my drawing board.

Do you happen ro know how trojan clothing would like during the bronze age? Also how similar culture they had to Greece?

This is not something I have researched that much. Some scholars have suggested that the Bronze Age Trojans were a Luwian culture within the sphere of the Hittite empire. Eric Shanower has based the Trojans on the Hittites in his comic series Age of Bronze.

Maybe @littlesparklight has something to add? She has studied the Bronze Age Trojans much more than I have.

I don't think enough people know how amazing Dorothy is in the Wizard of Oz books, so I'd like to demonstrate with these panels. You tell her, girl.

So as far as Wizard of Oz goes-- I've actually only truly read the first (and part of the second) Wizard of Oz books, and the rest of them (up till the sixth) I've experienced via Eric Shanower's Marvel Comics adaptation of the books. Which I absolutely recommend, it's very faithful and the art is great, very fun and cartoony in a way that go with the story, the dialogue is usually word word and so on.

Sadly all but the first book gn is physically out of print now (I do have old gn copies of books 2 and 3 but they are literally falling apart I read them so much as a kid oh no) but they are available digitally and there's ways to find them.
