A whole group of writers, directors and actors really thought I was supposed to handle a 20-minute period of film where Sam Rockwell dances, smokes, shows his arms, says the word "daddy" and fuckin barks like a dog
What I love about Charlie's Angels 2000 is the fact that the three protagonists don all kinds of "hot girl disguises" to distract guys/get their guards down - and those plans always work! But the most effective honey trap(s) showcased in the movie was(were) made by none other than Eric Knox/John McCadden.
Part of Eric's and Vivian's plan is basically deceiving the Angels(and Charlie himself) into giving Corwin's tech to them,then killing Charlie and the Angels for revenge. Then,Eric seduces Dylan with his adorably nerd persona(on a tangent,it kind of reminds me of Marjorie Gold from The Triangle of Rhodes. Despite how unassuming and insecure she appears,Agatha Christie goes out of her way to subtly describe her as good-looking,intelligent, and competent. At the end of the tale,Marjorie is revealed to be a serial killer and much more appealing than vapid bombshell Valentine Chantry) and lures her to his house. Then,Vivian sends people to kill Alex and Natalie - both girls were merely inconvenienced by/angry at the ordeal,and Natalie even found out Vivian was behind the scheme. Dylan,on the other hand,was caught completely off guard wearing only a bedsheet,and she only survived her trap due to action movie shenanigans.
Now,onto Eric's and Vivian's relationship. It seemed that he had some power over her,both before and after the reveal. When the Angels managed to get their hands in the Corwin data,they said they would search for possible leads themselves and didn't want to give access to the clients. Vivian complained about it,but Eric basically said to Vivian that everything was fine. While on Eric's house,Dylan was warned by Alex and/or Natalie that Vivian was evil. Then,Eric said he knew about it and kissed Vivian's neck. On its own,this gesture doesn't say much. However,the kiss happened in the same scene where it was revealed that Eric honey-trapped Dylan(and not only she got closer to death than many incidents we see on screen,but also she was wearing ridiculous clothes and riding a dirt bike afterwards) - therefore,it's possible that he used romance and/or sex to get her on-board with his batshit scheme.
Also,I love how this movie made all villains (except for the Thin Man) tech tycoons.

There's just something about a theatrical, unhinged, fun villain who dances that will always have my heart. I don't even know when it started (probably, Sam Rockwell in Charlie's Angels and Mr Right even though he wasn't the 'villain') but it's the best type of villain like it's going to do it for me every time😩🫣❤️.
Anyway, thank you, Sam Rockwell, for doing your little dancey dance and helping me discover so many dope songs.
