     THE BELL RINGS ABOVE THE DOOR, and sera momentarily stops flipping through some of the vinyls, thinking it’s a customer. but she realizes that it’s just eric, and even if the first thing she thinks about when seeing him is him calling ethan a loser, she still smiles. “oh, hey, eric.” she returns back to her flipping, trying to decide which one she may just buy when she can. “you scheduled for this afternoon?” she already knows the answer to that, but she isn’t sure what else to talk about with him.

     DAMN IT. sera tries to be quick enough to push the cart around to the next aisle so eric just misses her, but it seems like it won’t be that easy. she almost runs into someone else trying to avoid him, and this has already turned into more of a disaster than she could have thought. it’ll be fine, she tells herself. just make up some excuse. “eric, hey.” she greets him with a small smile, trying to make herself feel less awkward than she does. “are you grocery shopping too?” obviously, she tells herself as she looks down at her own cart.
