Astrid turned to see Eret walking her way, obviously noticing her disdain. "You noticed?"

"I think everyone noticed, love,"

Astrid sighed. "I don't mean to be clinical. It just grosses me out. All that gooshy stuff,"

Eret shrugged. "Never really celebrated, myself. Never had anyone to spend it with and I find the whole idea a little too much for my taste."

Astrid smiled. "Glad we have something in common. Other than the fact that Stormfly loves us,"

The dragon walked up behind Eret, nudging him with her nose. Surprising him, but he just chuckled and scratched under her chin. "That we do,"

Astrid smiled, a warm feeling growing in her chest.

Astrid's expression turned sour. Oh, gross. Was she? No. No, she couldn't be.

Did she like Eret? As in, more than a friend?

Astrid glanced up at him. The man was currently playing fetch with her dragon, his laugh reaching her ears. She blushed and grinned.

Eugh. Oh, Odin, she was.

But as Stormfly brought back the log they were playing with and Eret hefted the thing over his shoulder and launched it into the forest, Astrid felt like she could have stayed there forever. Just watching.

Was that creepy? Nah.
