That was Aizawa's first mistake. To believe that Izuku would listen to what his teacher asked. At least when it came down to being out in the real world for battle. Leaving someone behind wasn't an option. Especially when that someone was somebody that a bunch of people cared about other than himself. If he had come back to UA with out Aizawa, class 1A would have reprimanded him for it.

"You should know by now that I don't always listen." Izuku sates. It was true though. While he was a rather kind and usually one who listens, he does take matters into his own hands and often makes reckless decisions. "Losing you as a teacher would have been the worst thing."

He could tell that Aizawa was having a hard time with the whole battle that took place just then. Everything turned out fine, so he doesn't understand why his teacher was saying this now. Izuku was able to handle it and he had managed to stop the villain from doing more damage than they already had. He also made sure that he didn't get too badly hurt in the process.

"Everything turned out fine though Sensei, you don't have to keep worrying." Izuku states. Trying to choose his words more carefully here.

being nice wasn't a part of the equation ; his teacher, his mentor, was hurt. and while katsuki had spent many days gritting his teeth while listening to lesson after lesson from the other, he can't help but remember the broadcast after he was kidnapped / where aizawa was one of the only ones that believed in him.

even in saying that, though, the young bakugou can't help but glare at his teacher, hands working carefully to try and tend to the wounds. if he does this right, then he'll at least be stable. but first - ❛ sensei, respectfully shut the fuck up. ❜

the wounds were deep and some of them were close to arteries. if katsuki was willing to admit it to himself, aizawa was hurt badly - and he knows that aizawa knows it. but if he had any sort of say in it, hands working to clean the wound and dress it and apply pressure one step after another, it was that he wasn't going to let aizawa bleed out here ... [ not while he has so much more to learn from him. ] ... and die with whatever the hell never left his mind.

the solace in having katsuki deal with this is that he's efficient.

a hiss breaks out in the silence of the room as katsuki tenses, his hand reaching to swat aizawa's away out of instinct / the fight he got tangled up in is very loosely justified, really, though katsuki hasn't spoken a word about it. he vehemently believes they were in the wrong anyway ... [ even though that isn't reason enough for a brawl. ] ... but if he knew that his mentor would insist on caring for his injuries, maybe he should've just bitten the bullet.

even though he allows aizawa to try again, he ends up instinctively swatting him away once more, teeth gritted together with a wince.

❛ didja have to get the isopropyl alcohol ? ❜ katsuki crosses his arms tightly across his chest, trying to prevent his reflexes from batting away aizawa again. that has more success than he thought. ❛ tch ... they're not that bad, y'know. this is pointless. ❜

he's saying that because he doesn't want to talk about it. katsuki doesn't want to admit that his buttons got pressed, and while he often has a grip on his aggression to keep it verbal, they said one wrong thing and ... [ katsuki hasn't had a physical altercation for years. but there was immense satisfaction at the time when he threw the first punch, a manic grin on his face when the other student retaliated, and relief when he was pulled aside despite his bruises and cuts. ] ... now there was a heavy feeling in his stomach.

He didn't bring much — just the essentials and a few items he needed for class tomorrow. Only an armful of things...yet, it still felt all TOO MUCH walking into Shota's place. But Toshinori is unsure whether it'd feel any different even if he had come with NOTHING. He couldn't help but feel like a burden, and it brings him to a standstill in the doorway for an uncomfortably long amount of time, giving the place a once over before his gaze averts to the bag he held in his arms, not wanting to INTRUDE on Aizawa's personal space any more than he already is by just being there.

It wasn't even a few hours ago that Yagi's special circumstances were presented to the rest of the first year teachers in their final pre-semester meeting. Principle Nezu insisted it'd be for the best when Toshinori brought up his concerns, but no amount of reassurance could sooth the raw, EXPOSED feeling it left behind — and it'd show in his rather timid stance in the entryway.

By the time the full day of meetings wrapped up and the residual small group of teachers dissipated, it was denoted that, between the commute here from Minato and staying in his muscle form most of the day, his reserves were EMPTY. And with only a few hours left in the day and an early call time tomorrow morning for class, it was suggested he'd be better off staying somewhere in town for the night.

Now, Toshinori insisted the teacher's lounge would be fine enough. Despite what most would think of the number one hero, it wouldn't be his FIRST time sleeping on a couch...and he probably would've argued his point more if he knew who's address it was he was given —

Well...He couldn't exactly say he was too surprised. From what he knew, mostly what Tokoyami had shared about his classes, he had a feeling their personalities would clash. Then again, Keigo had that assumption about Endeavor and the big guy seemed to like him enough. That being enough to not set him on fire.

maybe the class did not understand the depths of katsuki's struggles beyond his frustrated growls and occasional bouts of anger , throwing the pen aside only to pick it up with his non-dominant hand to keep writing ... but maybe @eraseur understood . maybe he would understand that things could not always be the same as it was before . maybe he'd know katsuki's frustration .

[ and it was better than him being alone ; his thoughts are too loud then . ]
