So I actually have four different iterations of Éomer/Lothiriel now:
--The black cat/golden retriever relationship in The Golden Hall
--The shy Éomer/effervescent LothÃriel in the Swan Knight LothÃriel AU
--A verse where LothÃriel and Éomer have a love match, but they're both avoidant and slightly immature in different ways, and have to navigate various miscommunications and comedies of error. The Retreat, my fic about LothÃriel's allergies, falls into this category. The fic where Éomer absconds from his responsibilities and is found working as a stable hand in a dissociative fugue is also going to be part of this verse. What fun!
--modern-day Éomer and LothÃriel, where he is an immigration lawyer and she is a publisher's assistant. This LothÃriel is probably my most insecure, and this Éomer the most well-adjusted.
After the Whistle - chapter 3 (the last)
Go check it out on AO3, it's somewhat spicy.
In the AU where LothÃriel is a Swan Knight and a redhead, Éomer shamefully wonders if she has freckles under her armor, too.
The fact that LothÃriel and Éomer's first born children are twins is actually a comical reflection on LothÃriel's character.
She is an overachiever in everything, whether being the perfect specimen of Gondorian womanhood (though she hates it), excelling at her martial arts lessons, helping Éomer with his ailments, ruling Rohan, or solving her lady in waiting's problem, she throws herself fully into her pursuits.
Now, obviously, humans do not have that level of control over their bodily functions - they cannot control how many children they conceive, though Elves may be another story. But still, LothÃriel is driven and gives herself more than fully to everything she does, so I thought, why not have her "hit it out of the park" with this one, too?

Guess which plotbunny is back? Sworn virgin Éomer AU, after the balkan custom.
Maybe I can write a oneshot... since I've learned I can do that now. 😂
The King of Rohan is young, and already a legend. He felled two Mûmakil with one spear, led the desperate charge of the Rohirrim, and rallied his troops after his uncle fell.
But the youngest prince of Dol Amorth, LothÃr, has questions.
Why, for instance, does the king not wear a beard when every other Rohir takes pride in his? Why are his clothes more baggy than other people's, and why does he staunchly refuse an invitation to the royal bathhouse?
His father tells LothÃr to let the King of Rohan be, because his questions are anything but subtle.
And yet, LothÃr can't get the king out of his head. Because if he were a woman, she would be just his type.
Ok, this might be a personal record. I wrote a draft of 4300 words today.
This is a story about LothÃriel suffering from seasonal allergies when she first arrives to Rohan.
Featuring fan fave OC healer Walda, drama queen Éomer, and Éowyn who is trying to do damage control. Also, LothÃriel is a cat lady!
I intentionally checked the Eothiriel tag and lately it's mostly me spamming it with my Golden Hall typography? Should I stop? There are certainly other tags I could use, and if it makes other content harder to find...
