But anyway let's talk about the d+la shows I watched:

Entrelazados: Ended on a CLIFFHANGER and they just cancelled S3?? This show got genuinely interesting with the time travel.

Papás por encargo: Did you ever picture Leon from Violetta and Simón from Soy Luna shopping pads together? Something I never thought I would see. SUPER WHOLESOME SHOW. So mad that they never released S2 in Europe and then also removed the show entirely???

Siempre fui yo: No because the plot got so weird. Main couple were clearly fucking and still were like "idk if he/she likes me". Randomly broke up and then got back together anyway. Someone fakes his death and then goes back to just being alive next season like nothing. Someone who was ok S1 is randomly the villain in S2. Angie was robbed of being sapphic but they at least had canon gays.

Tudo Igual SQN: See we had bisexual representation. We had lesbian representation. Good! But then we also had stepsiblings almost having sex. Why. I'm all for talking about safe sex and first times and stuff but WHY WITH STEPSIBLINGS-

O Coro: Complete drug trip and I loved every second of it and then they removed it from the platform

Gina Yei: 12 EPISODES WHERE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED. I WASTED MY TIME SO MUCH.

But like… every woman in the Sharp family… is a single mother raising a daughter. It’s been like this for generations.

We only know Coco’s father, it’s the 1800s guy Lucia got with. But who is Caterina’s father? Who is Allegra’s father? Even ALLEGRA’S FUTURE DAUGHTER, it kinda seemed like she herself was trying to figure out who her dad was.

Either it’s some curse that the fathers of them pass away, or the women either sleep with random men or get pregnant with donors. Like Coco feels like she’d be like ”I want a child, I will use a donor to get pregnant with myself” - but also, it was the 70s and that technology was brand new, so it also feels like it’s less possible.

I have not seen L-pop or Freeks, or if there’s an even new one that has popped up.

1. Entrelazados

The concept is really cool and nice, and probably the most fledged out d+la show out of all of them. I love the time travel aspect, and the mysteries surrounding it. Season 2 also expanded a LOT on it, and I think season 3 will definitely be very interesting how they do it.

2. Papás por encargo

It used to be my number 1, simply because season 1 is SOOOO wholesome. I wasn't as engaged with S2, even though S2 was really really cute too. I think it's also lower now because THEY REMOVED IT IN EUROPE??? SO I CAN'T WATCH IT ANYMORE UNLESS I HAVE A VPN???

Nonetheless, it's such a wholesome show.

Ok, while I love the mystery solving part of this show, the romance plot is a little... well. Lupe and Noah have this really weird on and off relationship where they basically have the most sexual tension imaginable, and then are like "yeah idk if he likes me"...

I love the CONCEPT of S2, where all of them are in this one location and someone's an "impostor". Live for that. I also love that it wasn't a NEW character that was the one betraying them. Usually it's a new character that is sus, but this time it was someone we knew since S1.

4. O Coro

Absolute drug trip, I love it so much. So sad they just removed it from D+

5. Tudo Igual SQN

LOVE the friendships between the girls. If this show was ONLY the girls having slice of life friendship adventures, it would be fine.

BUT THEY HAD TO DO THAT. THEY HAD TO DO THAT.

6. Tierra Icógnita

Cool concept, definitely. Pretty original, even! Love that there's a restaurant called "Creepy Pasta".

I just wasn't too into it to continue.

7. Gina Yei

DON'T WATCH IT. NOTHING HAPPENED. IT WAS SO BORING.
