Heroes humanised by their nemesis
Warning: This post will include TBHX episode 3 spoilers and spoilers from the episode 4 trailer
There seems to be this theme by which every hero we have currently met or know of, such as OG Nice, Lin Ling (current nice), and Firm man have all been dehumanised by the public while being actively humanised by their nemesis.
OG Nice and Wreck
Nice is a character that haunts the narrative, yet he is constantly dehumanised by those that he haunts all except of his best friend and nemesis Wreck. Nice is constantly referred to as "perfect" or "companies' most valuable brand." The way he haunts the narrative is through what he symbolises and offers to others, not through his actions and relationship with the character. However, that's the opposite to be said with the way OG Nice haunts Wreck's narrative. Wreck is the only character we know of that can see right through Nice. He calls him a hypocrite for acting perfect when he knows he isn't. He knows that Nice isn't perfect because he, unlike the others, knows Nice. He instantly knew that Lin Ling wasn't nice simply from the few interactions they had.
Enlightner and current Nice
This one is a lot more of a theory as of right now, but I believe that Enlightner will act as a sort of Nemesis for Lin Ling. Enlightner's goal is to tear down Nice's image, and by doing that, he seems to humanise Nice unintentionally. However, humanisation is humanisation, and by showing the people that Nice isn't the epitome of perfection and is also a person, he risks many things for Lin Ling.
Wolf girl and firm man
Wolf girl becomes Firm man's nemesis in the show as well, and while she doesn't directly mean harm to Firm man, you can argue that she still causes harm by trying to humanise him. I love the fact that the episode shows us her art work and tries to depict it as offensive through the eyes of other people because she is drawing Firm man as her childhood hero who is also just a man. A man who sweats, cries, and has human emotion, yet the people view that as an insult to his image when in reality, it's just how she remembers, views, and knows him as. She is a catalyst to Firm man. Wolf Girl effectively embodies Firm man's weakness of not being agile, not being able to bend down, and lay low. It's such an interesting concept to read both literally of how Firm man not being able to lay down or couch effects him physically and what it could metaphorically mean. The closer he gets to fame, the less flexibility he has in multiple ways, whether that be physically, schedule wise, or even socially.
