he would immediately know just by your demeanor 

your sniffles, your head down with a serious face - he knows you too well 

“are you okay?” he would place his hand on yours and hold it tightly 

he would lift up your face with his hands and tilt his head in confusion like a puppy 😞 

when you try to walk away from him cus your embarrassed and don’t want people to see you he would grab your hand and drag you somewhere alone and keep saying “wait why why?” 

he would give the tightest hug but the type where he would put his hand on your head and run his fingers through your hair while saying “its okay its okay i got you” 

he would keep reassuring you about how it’s fine if he even has to miss class to stay with you 

he knows you're embarrassed so he keeps going “tsk stopp~ never be too scared to come to me, okay?” while rubbing your back 

JUNGWON

he can see your nose turning red and your eyes glistening from a mile away and he hates to see it happen :( 

he’d forrow his eyebrows in confusion while reaching to grab your hand 

if you get up to leave and go to the bathroom to get yourself together you’d walk out and he’d be waiting for you 

grabs your face with his hands and wipes your tears while saying “suddenly? what happened?” 

he keeps looking at you while caressing your cheeks with his thumbs :((((((

you don’t answer and he hugs you and says “its okay its okay. you don’t have to say anything, in here now” 

when he’s hugging you he would keep rubbing your back and tracing lines on it - whispering that its all going to be okay 

SUNGHOON

he wouldn’t notice it immediately but sensed something was wrong because you weren’t teasing him like you normally do

he keeps glancing at you and then when you make eye contact he looks away and then stares again when you divert your attention 

gets fidgety and is unsure of what to do

he would get his water bottle and hand it to you - “have some water, do you want my jacket?” 

he would hold your hand under the table and quietly whisper “don’t cry~” 

the whole day after that he would keep you in his line of sight, giving you little treats and giving you extra attention 

after the day ends he would go home and text you a long message about how he cares so much about you and apologize for being unsure of how to comfort you

JAY

you always wonder why you even try hiding your emotions from this man when he can read you like a book 

he ALWAYS knows 

serious pouty mode ON! 

he immediately asks you what happened making sure not to sound so panicky despite him being so worried 

when he sees that you’re crying more he goes “ohhhh no no” and kiss your forehead and then look right into your eyes while saying “its okay its okay you can cry” 

very aware of the fact that you might not want attention on you so he will pull you somewhere private to talk 

respectful of boundaries. “do you want a hug?” always asks first

the rest of the day he would not keep his eyes off of you. he’ll talk to you in the sweetest voice ever and be SO GENTLE 

NIKI

he would hear you sniffling with your head down and he would shift his head down to your level and look right at you 

he would blink his eyes in confusion and go “did i say something wrong?” 

he teases you a lot so he’s worried if he said something out of pocket 

you shake your head saying no and he would giggle and say “whew” 

but when he hears you crying more he quickly goes “why why why?” while reaching to side hug you 

he would squeeze your shoulders and go “its okay.. don’t cry please” 

he would try to keep making jokes to lighten the mood 

“who do i need to beat up?!” he would say and then chuckle 

HEESEUNG

doesn’t even ask questions he just hugs you 

rests his chin on your head because he’s taller than you and says “who hurt my baby?” 

would pull away look at your face chuckle slightly and say “you’re so cute, please don’t cry” 

would kiss your pouty lips and pull you into a hug again and say “im here just cry if you need” 

will stay with you the whole day if you need it but if you need personal space he’s very understanding and would just check in on you through text

will call you for 5 hours later that day to dissect and discuss the situation that lead to you crying 

will always end it with “but you’re so cute when you cry so it’s fine just come to me” 

SUNOO

see’s you crying and back hugs you

pouting and asking “what happened ~~” 

would grab tissues and wipe your tears for you 

would get teary eyed seeing you so sad 

gets you food and water to calm you down 

“do you want to talk about it?”

when you don’t respond he understands and knows you just want to be held. he would hug you for eternity if you wanted LOL 

The city had never been kind to people like her. Mutants were hunted, controlled, forced into submission—but she had never been one to bow. Not when she had power, real power, gleaming beneath her skin like a diamond waiting to be carved into a weapon.

And yet, here she was, sitting across from a boy who had no idea who she really was.

“You’re staring again,” Riki said, grinning as he sipped his drink.

She tilted her head, smirking. “Maybe I just like the view.”

He laughed, easy and carefree, a sound so foreign in her world that it almost made her uneasy. Riki was a civilian, an ordinary boy in an extraordinary city, blissfully unaware of the battle waging just beneath the surface. Maybe that was why she kept coming back to him—because he was normal, because he reminded her of something she’d never had.

“Careful,” he teased. “Keep looking at me like that and I’ll think you actually like me.”

She leaned forward, resting her chin on her palm. “And if I did?”

Riki blinked, caught off guard for a split second before shaking his head with a chuckle. “Then I’d ask what a girl like you is doing with a guy like me.”

The truth hovered on the tip of her tongue. Because you’re human. Because you don’t look at me with fear. Because you don’t know what I am.

Instead, she shrugged. “Maybe I like a little mystery.”

Riki grinned, but before he could respond, a commotion outside caught her attention. The air shifted, charged with something dangerous. Her fingers twitched at her side, the glimmer of diamond creeping up her skin as she instinctively prepared for a fight.

Riki noticed the change in her posture. “You okay?”

She forced herself to relax, to push the power back down. “Yeah,” she said, standing. “I just need some air.”

He frowned but didn’t question it. “I’ll wait here.”

She stepped outside, cold air biting against her skin, and immediately spotted the source of the disturbance. Enforcers. Armed and scanning the streets, looking for someone. Looking for her.

Her jaw tightened. She could take them—she always could. But not here. Not with him so close.

For the first time, she hesitated.

And then—

“Hey,” Riki’s voice pulled her back. He had followed her, standing just a step behind. His brows furrowed as he took in her tense stance. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

She turned to him, her lips parting—but the enforcers saw her first.

“There!”

The world seemed to slow.

Riki barely had time to react before she was moving, grabbing his wrist and pulling him with her. “Run.”

And for the first time, Riki realized—she wasn’t just a mystery.

She was something else entirely.

“Run.”

Riki barely had time to react before she was pulling him into the alleyway, her grip firm but careful. The enforcers’ heavy boots pounded against the pavement behind them, their voices barking orders, their weapons primed to shoot.

“Hey—what the hell is happening?” Riki panted, struggling to keep up. “Who are they?”

She didn’t answer. No time.

The alley was a dead end.

“Shit.”

Riki turned, chest heaving, his panic obvious. But when he looked at her, expecting fear, he found none. Instead, she stood tall, shoulders squared, her breath steady. And as the enforcers closed in, something changed.

Her skin began to shimmer.

Riki’s eyes widened as a crystalline layer spread across her body, starting from her fingertips and rushing upward like frost on glass. Her soft, warm flesh transformed into gleaming, unbreakable diamond, catching the dim city light and refracting it like a living prism.

The enforcers hesitated.

“Target confirmed,” one of them muttered. “Mutant class—”

She didn’t let him finish.

With inhuman speed, she launched forward, slamming her fist into the closest enforcer’s chest. The sheer force sent him flying into the wall, the concrete cracking on impact. Another raised his weapon, but before he could fire, she grabbed the barrel and crushed it in her grip, metal twisting like paper in her diamond fingers.

Riki could only stare.

The third enforcer tried to call for backup, but she turned to him, eyes glinting. “Put that down,” she said, her voice velvet-soft but filled with something commanding.

He stiffened. His hands twitched—fighting against himself—but he obeyed, dropping the radio. His pupils were dilated, his body rigid.

“What the—” Riki whispered, watching the man move as if puppeteered.

She took a step closer, gaze locked onto the enforcer’s. “Now turn around. Walk away.”

And just like that, he did.

Riki exhaled a shaky breath. “You—what was that?”

She turned to him, the diamond layer fading as her skin returned to normal, smooth and warm again. Her lips quirked up in the smallest of smirks. “Telepathy. A little persuasion, if you will.”

Riki ran a hand through his hair, eyes still wide with disbelief. “Holy shit.”

“Yeah,” she breathed, glancing at the unconscious enforcers. “We need to go.”

He didn’t argue.

As they slipped back into the shadows, Riki’s mind reeled. He had always felt there was something different about her—but this? This was beyond anything he could have imagined.

They didn’t stop running until they reached the lower district, where neon signs flickered weakly above shuttered storefronts and the air smelled like rain-soaked metal. Riki’s breath was ragged, but hers remained steady—like she had done this a thousand times before.

He finally tugged his arm free, turning to face her. “Okay,” he huffed. “We’re safe. Now you’re gonna tell me what the hell is going on.”

She wiped a smudge of dirt off her sleeve, unbothered by his outburst. “I saved your life.”

“Yeah, no kidding!” Riki threw up his hands. “From who? Why were they after you? Why were they after me?”

“They weren’t after you,” she corrected. “They were after me. You were just collateral.”

Riki swallowed. “Collateral? What does that even—” His voice trailed off as realization dawned. “Wait. You’ve done this before, haven’t you?”

She didn’t deny it.

His stomach twisted. “So what are you? Some kind of—”

“Mutant,” she finished for him, voice devoid of shame. “And before you freak out, no, I don’t go around controlling people’s minds or turning into diamond just because I can.”

Riki shook his head, running a hand through his damp hair. “You crushed a gun with your bare hands.”

“And saved you from getting shot,” she pointed out.

He exhaled sharply. “I mean—yeah, but—”

Her gaze softened just a fraction. “Riki,” she said, quieter now. “The enforcers? They’re Corps. They’re rounding up mutants, sympathizers—anyone who doesn’t fit into their perfect little system. If they had caught me, I’d be locked in a lab or worse.”

Riki’s mind reeled. He had always known the world was getting worse, but hearing it this clearly—from someone who had seen the worst of it—was different.

“And you?” he asked hesitantly. “What do you do?”

Her lips curled into something between a smirk and a grimace. “I even the playing field.”

A silence stretched between them, thick with unsaid things.

Then, distant sirens howled.

She tensed. “We should keep moving.”

Riki hesitated. “Where are you going?”

She met his gaze, something unreadable flickering in her eyes. “You sure you want to know?”

He had no reason to follow. No reason to trust her.

But he did.

“…Yeah,” he murmured. “I do.”

Her smirk turned knowing, and without another word, she turned and walked into the night.

You let out a soft curse as your body unexpectedly collided with someone while you hurry yourself up the school stairs. “I’m so sorry!” you mumbled apologetic and even bowed a little before you almost stumble over your own feet when you finally arrived at the said floor.

You huffed a breath out and even grunted before walking towards where your club room is only for your shoulder to fell in a disappointment. You can already see the club members walking outside, seems like the meeting was already finished. You sighed in disbelief and with a sullen expression you slowly approached closer. Just in time, your best friend in the same club went out and she quickly went towards you after seeing you.

“You’re late, doll face.” she said and with a long face you stopped walking and let her come close herself. Now, suddenly all the running you did kicked into your system and you can feel your legs shaking out of tiredness. You’ve never ran that far before.

“I know. I had a problem with something on the way.” you heaved a sigh and even wiped off some beads of sweat that had formed over your forehead because of the heat.

“You looked like you just ran miles.” she said with a teasing voice as she chuckled.

You rolled your eyes at her before fanning yourself using your own hands. “You don’t even know what I’ve been through! And I arrived here only to see the meeting was over?” your tone was almost hysterical that made your friend chuckled. Soon she threw her arm around your shoulder and started pulling you towards somewhere.

“Poor you! Let’s go at the cafeteria, I will treat you something refreshing to drink!” she said and even winked at you. You were delighted at what you heard and even pouted at her.

“Really? Wah, thank you so much!” both of you let out a chuckle as you started walking down the familiar stairs.

It’s already dismissal and you were asked to go in the club room for the journalism club meeting. You were held back in your last class since some of your block-mates were being pain in the ass and the professor decided to deal with them and let the whole class suffer together. It was annoying but yet you had no choice but to just waited there for a couple of minutes.

“So what was the meeting about?” you asked as she settle the drinks over at the table you are occupying. She tilted her head and smiled as you thanked her for the drink.

“Nothing much. We just distributed what section of the news paper we will cover.” her smile was meaningful as she stare at you. Even if she didn’t say anything, you quickly felt something bad with those smiles of her.

You squinted your eyes as you slowly pull away from the straw of your drink. She chuckled, finding you really cute and she took a sip from her own drink. The journalism is the one assigned to take care of the school’s news paper where you will read various updates, news and even achievements of the university. To be fair, the president suggested that the articles will be covered equally. It was a good idea of course, but not when you didn’t attend the meeting.

“What section did you get?” you were eager to know what’s yours but you’re afraid to know it as well.

She smiled proudly, “I’m asked to cover the up-coming inter-school science exibits.” she said. Your mouth fell open a bit as you look at her will slight envy. You sure it will be exciting and also the people at the science club were all nice. You know it because you had covered it before and worked with some of them.

“Since I’m not present, I get the section that had been not picked right?” you already know it but still you asked for some reason. She chuckled while enjoying how uneasy you look.

You sighed and took a sip from your drink before finally asking your friend. “What section do I get t cover?” you gulped, anticipating.

She smiled warmly before saying, “Sports section.” 

Two words... just two words and you can already feel your palms sweating out of worry. There’s a lot of teams in the sports club, you tried to comfort yourself and to make yourself feel better by convincing yourself that you will not get that one team that you are avoiding the most.

“Please don’t tell me I got the Belift rugby team.” your tone was hopeful but a bit worried as well.

She smirked, “Then, I won’t tell you.” she chuckled before she took another sip from her drink once again.

Your mouth fell open as your face reflected an absent minded expression. She wants to laugh so bad because of how funny you looked right now but he somehow feel worried for you as well. The Belift Rugby team sure is one of the pride of your school and a lot of their team players are the most popular boys of the school. She’s half happy and half worried for you but all in all she’s very much excited.

She let out yet another snickered laugh, “Oh come on, its not so bad.” she tried to encourage you.

You let out a sarcastic scoff, “Easy for you to say.” she just responded with a shoulder shrug and a chuckle. You were silent for a while before you grunted and let out a sigh.

“Why me though? Why didn’t (name) even took the article? I mean I’m sure she’s very much willing to cover it.” you said starting to feel frustrated.

“Yes, but the president aren’t very much willing to give it to her.” she have this teasing smile over her face. You wanted to join and maybe comment some things about the said girl but you aren’t in the mood. You may not like (name) because of her attitude but you are quite thankful that she took those articles before.

“Why?” you asked. Your friend gave you a meaningful look like as if its a sin to ask that question.

“The Belift rugby team is the university’s pride and so a lot are looking forward for a well written articles about them and (name) always fails to deliver them.” she said. Your mouth formed a ‘o’ before your head nodded, eyes roaming around for a bit while. You have no idea how she wrote the articles for the rugby team because you don’t really read that part of the school news paper.

Your eyes glanced back at your friend when she suddenly hold onto your hand. With a furrowed brows you looked at her, “I think its perfect for you to cover it since you’re one of the best writers of the club and maybe its a good opportunity to y’know? socialize...” she said. Her eyes looked so sincere.

You gave her a half-smile, “Yeah, right. Socialize my ass.” and you even rolled your eyes before taking another sip over your drink. She lets out a laugh because you just look cute whenever you look pissed at something.

“y/n! Why are you so mad at the rugby team? I mean, have you seen them? They’re full of hot guys. The most popular kids in our school are part of that team! A lot of girls are dying to be in your shoes right now.” she looks delighted. You wanted so bad to believe her but you knew she doesn’t even want to cover it herself. She’s all talk but she don’t want to undergo this as well.

“Then they can take it. I’d gladly pass it to them.” you comments before sighing loudly.

“Look, I’m not mad at them. I don’t even know them personally so I have no reason to even be mad. It’s just, I think they’re a bunch of guys who loves attention and popularity. I don’t see any substance. Pretty face, fame, girls, the sport, and then what? I heard they even don’t have that great personalities.” you mumbled continuously and your friend just can’t help but to agree. She pursed her lips and nods her head a couple of times.

“Well, you can’t do anything about it. You’ve got to deal with them for a whole two months.” she said. Your shoulder fell as you pout at her.

“Pray for my soul.” you joked and she cracked. “I will.”

On the other hand, the rugby team was currently at the field having their after class practice. Some students were there to watch, not the game but mostly the members of the team. All of them were pretty much hooked in the game, not minding the girls cheering for them. 

“Jungwon!” the said boy lifted his head only to meet with their coach’s eyes. He mumbled something before letting go of the person beside him then walks out of the field.

He huffed and ran his hand over to his hair that’s now soak with sweats. A couple of girls by the bleachers near him even try to call his attention. He glanced at them and nodded once that made them yelp a bit.

“Yes, coach?” he asked resting both of his hands at his hips as he try to calm his breathing.

“The president of the journalism club talked to me. Since the inter-school games are near, they need to cover the team. They’ll send someone to observe the team to write the article about it.” he said and Jungwon tilted his head, one of his hand raised as he wipe the sweat over the side of his neck.

“You already know how that works, right captain? I expect you’ll take care of it.” he said and even clapped his hand over to his broad shoulder.

Jungwon nodded his head reliably. It isn’t really new for him. Every season, someone from the club are tasked to be around them for almost two months to cover the whole preparation. He doesn’t really mind since its good for the team’s exposure as well.

“Alright, coach.”

He smiled at Jungwon before saying, “Okay. That’s it for today. You guys should rest and go home.” he dismissed.

Jungwon turned over the field, “Alright everyone! Coach said training’s over.” he shouted that quickly made them stop from the practice.

Soon the boys went straight towards the shower room of their team. A lot were talking about some stuff while Heeseung noticed how Jungwon’s brows were furrowed as he try to dry his hair using a clean towel. He just finished showering. He walked closer and clapped his shoulder.

“What’s up, captain? What’s with the creased forehead?” he asked the younger one. It also caught Jake’s attention who’s busy putting a shirt on.

“Heeseung’s right. What’s going on?”

“Nothing. Coach said someone from the journalism club will be around once again.” he announced. Heeseung nodded his head and even leaned over the locker next to Jungwon.

“Hmm, that’s easy. Let Jake handle her.” he suggested that made the other guy turn his head at them.

“Why me? If its (name), no thanks.” he said so eager. Jungwon looked at him and a small smile appeared over his lips.

“Did I just heard that right? Jake hyung saying no to handle a girl?” Sunoo said and finished up putting a lip balm over his pretty lips, his tone sounding so surprised.

Jake looked at him a bit offended, “And what do you mean by that, Kim Sunoo?” he asked that made some of them chuckling.

“Jake hyung can’t handle her if she’s (name) because he’s already finish with her.” Ni-ki added as he threw his dirty towel over the hamper of clothes. 

A smirk slowly appeared over Jungwon’s lips when he remember his Jake hyung’s flirting with the last girl from the journalism club that covered their articles. Jake jokingly try to choke hold the laughing Ni-ki and Jungwon then turned towards his Jay hyung who just finished putting a shirt on. He can see a small grin over his face while he listens at the boy’s bickering. When he cranes his head, he met eyes with Jungwon and he was quick enough to put a serious face.

“No, I won’t do it, Won.” and he even quickly glanced away right away. 

Jungwon tilted his head as he sighed out heavily. Like he said, he don’t mind about it but he also not in the mood to deal with it. Usually, some of the team members volunteers to take care of it, and by mostly its his Jake hyung since he’s very much fond of girls. Journalism club’s members are mostly girls. He thinks maybe around three guys are part of that club and so the possibility of it to be a guy is very small. If its a guy, then he can take care of it since they’re easier to deal with.

He snapped his head over to the side when someone clapped over his shoulder. His eyes met with his Sunghoon hyung’s and he was smiling brightly at him, flashing those fangs.

“I’ll handle it for you, captain.” he said and a smile gradually elevates his face after he heard that.

“Thanks, hyung. You’re a life saver.” he mumbled and they eventually decided to go somewhere to have dinner together.

When they exited the shower room, a lot were already discussing to where they would eat and Jungwon just remained silent letting them decide. He's not that picky and he’ll just go with wherever they’ll gonna go. He put one of his hands at the nape of his neck and gently massaged it.

“Jungwon-ah, you left your history book at your locker right? We need it.” his Sunoo hyung caught his attention and he let out a small groan when he remembered that they have a homework in history that needs their textbook.

“You guys go ahead, I’ll just go and get it. Text me where we’ll eat.” he said and he just nodded his head. Jungwon started walking his way towards where the locker's area was. The hallway was deserted and no students can be seen around. Seems like everyone already headed home.

When he turned over the left, the blue lockers greeted his eyes and even before he can process it, Jungwon bumped into someone. Their bodies colliding causing her things to splatter around the cold floor. He heard muttered curses out of surprise and he was quick enough to wrap one arm over her waist to keep her from falling down.

Jungwon then met eyes with you and he was stunned. You are too but you quickly shrugged it off and furrowed your brows at him. You pushed yourself off of him and crouched down to pick your things up. Jungwon was caught off guard, he doesn’t know what to react and your eyes kept flashing back through his mind. Your surprised expression, widen eyes and lips gapped a bit.

“A little help would be nice.” he was snapped back to reality when you suddenly talked. He’s even weirded out if he just heard that right, there’s something in your tone. Like you’re pissed or something.

“Right. Sorry,” he mumbled before he started helping you. His hands were big and a bit red, probably because of his tight grip at you. With a pursed lips, you tried calming yourself down. You may appear like you’re pissed but your cheeks were blushing so hard. Your face was too close at his moments ago and you can feel your heart hammering down.

“Here you go,” he said and handed you your things. You lifted your gaze from the floor over at him then accept it after muttering a small ‘thanks.’

Jungwon gulped as he’s eye to eye with you. He roamed his eyes over your face, not even minding that his stares were a bit bothering. He just don’t know what happened to him, you are new to his eyes and for some reason he’s very much interested.

“Are you new here?” he cannot stop himself form asking.

You let out a scoff before you stood up and neatly placed back your things inside your locker. You can see from the side of your eyes that he stood up as well, making the height differences between the two of you visible.

“New? I’ve been together in the same class with you for years, Yang.” your tone was sarcastic. You won’t lie, you’re kind of offended.

You don’t really expect him to know your name but to actually being not familiar of you was somewhat not okay. You’ve shared classes with him. Maybe he’s really that popular huh? That the people around him doesn’t really matter, especially if they aren’t close to him.

Jungwon’s eyes widen and his cheeks flushed as the embarrassment flow into him.

“I’m sorry, I didn--”

“It’s fine. It’s not like you’re required to know me.” you cut him off and faced him. With a blank looking face, you smiled a little.

“See you around, thanks for helping me.” and you left without even glancing back at him.

Jungwon was stoned as his position. You were already out of sight but he was still at where you had left him. He cannot believe the way you just look at him. That’s the very first time a girl from their university looked at him that way. Like as if he’s not Yang Jungwon, Captain of Belift Rugby team.

Soon a smirk appeared across his face as Jungwon slid one of his hand inside his pocket. He turned his head over to your locker and read your name quietly.

“Y/n, huh?” he mumbled to himself, eyes still glued at your name.

“I’ll surely remember you this time.” he said and wearing a small grin he went over to his locker to do the main reason why he went there in the first place.

“Are you off, Y/n?” your friend asked, a smile was already plastered over her face. You pouted, wanted so bad not to go but you know you have to do this. With a nod you waved at her and she did the same thing.

You decided to go at the locker’s area first to put some of your things. You can see a lot of students were around, probably because everyone’s dismissed at their classes.

Even before you can arrive the field, you can already see a lot of students around. Whenever they’re practicing, a lot of students, mostly girls, are staying for a bit to watch them. You think they don’t really care about the sport itself, they’re probably here because of the hot dudes.

Your hold in your notebook and pen tighten as you made your way closer to the field. You watch how they’re very focus on the game. Some of the girls that seen you walking closer followed you with their judging eyes. You shrugged it off, doesn’t really giving a care.

You sat down at one of the bleachers and observe the whole play, writing some notes from time to time. You didn’t even realize that you are actually enjoying watching them. You’ll give them that, even if they’re too immersed at the popularity, you can't deny their excellence in this sport. Your school indeed have the best players.

Your eyes darted over to him as you heard him shouting something and automatically, the whole team moved at his order. The numbers 04 was engraved at his rugby uniform. You pouted your lips as you watch his brows furrowed hardly while focusing at the game. He ran his hands at his wet hair, showing off that headband he’s sporting. He roamed his eyes around his team, observing and again he shouted another command. Your heart suddenly thumped as his close up face flashed back through your mind. You tried shaking that off from your system. It was so sudden.

Their coach cheered at the beautiful performance they showed and then they were dismissed. When you saw them striving towards the rugby team locker/shower area, you hurried yourself towards their coach.

“Coach.” you called their coach’s attention. He turned over at you and flashed a big smile.

“You must be the one from the journalism club.” he said, sounding excited.

You nodded your head, “I will start tomorrow if the team have practice.” you said flashing a polite smile.

He nodded his head, “Let’s go, I’ll introduce you to the whole team.” he said. Your heart thumped for some reason but you just nod your head at him. At least their coach is nice.

Jungwon let out a small relieved sigh after taking a shower. He can feel his back aching a bit but it was fine. He’ll just put some patch at it later tonight. He just finished taking a shower and now fixing some of his things at his locker. Opening it, the memory of you quickly flashed back over his mind making a small smile spread through his lips.

“You seemed to be in a good mood.” his head snapped over to the one who talked.

He pursed his lips and resumed to what he was doing, “Really?”

Actually, he was the third person who told him that today. He doesn’t know what he’s doing or what’s in his facial expression that they can tell right away that something good happened.

His Jay hyung nodded his head with a smirk. “Yeah. What? Something happened?” he asked and shoved his things over his locker.

Jungwon eyes trailed away from his hyung and his ears glazed light tint of red that he noticed pretty easily.

“Is it a girl? Wait, really? Yang Jungwon?” amusement lured over his tone and because he had said that a bit too loudly, the rest of their friends heard and was instantly curious.

“Did I just heard Jungwon has a girl?” Jake said his shirt still ain’t properly worn.

“Way to go, captain!” Sunghoon cheered with a smirk.

Jungwon’s cheeks flushed because of all the teasing from his friends. He huffed and furrowed his brows. His hand made it over his cheeks and lightly cupped it, heat can be felt from it. He bet his cheeks are red as tomatoes right now.

“So who’s the lucky girl?” his Heeseung hyung asked as he slowly slipped in a sock, a smirk was also plastered over his face.

Jungwon’s head tilted at the side for a while as he closed his locker. He doesn’t know why he’s feeling like this so suddenly. He’s pretty sure he knows your name but for some reason, he doesn't want his friends to know it. Especially his Jake hyung...

His friends can’t help but to get very curious though. It’s not always Yang Jungwon, their Captain, got interested over a girl. Actually, they’ve never seen him interested over a girl. Yeah, he do interact at some but they know he's not interested in any way.

Jungwon was about to say something when suddenly, their coach barged inside their locker room. “Go outside in 2 minutes. The girl from the journal club is here and I’m going to introduce you guys.” he said.

Jungwon groaned a little and locked his locker before he brushed his wet hair using his fingers. The boys rummaged over their things, “You guys behave and I’m talking to you, Sim Jaeyun.” their coach said that made them all laugh loudly.

One by one, the school rugby team went outside. You bit your lower lip and kept your hands together, fidgeting at your fingers. Their eyes automatically shifted towards you and that just made you feel nervous. The last ones who came out was the most known members of the team and also the star players. You saw how their eyes were focused at you, Jake sim even gave you the elevator look with that flirty smirk of him.

Your eyes soon darted over at the last one who came out. He was brushing his damp hair and his eyes looked a bit wide-eyed as he met yours. You quickly glanced away as you felt your heart beating faster just by a three second eye contact with the team captain.

“You guys already know this routine. One of the members from the journalism club are here to cover your article in our school news paper. I want all of you to take care of her and be nice to her.” the coach started and you just kept your lips pursed.

They responded with a ‘yes coach.’ He then turned over you with that smile, “You can introduce yourself, don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll behave themselves.” he assured.

You smiled a little before turning your head at them. After heaving a sigh, you flashed a friendly smile at them avoiding eye contact at their team captain to prevent being distracted.

“I’m y/n from journalism club. I hope we can have a great time during the whole two months. Please take it easy on me.” you said and some of them was eager enough to respond. It made you chuckle as they were a bit funny.

You noticed Jungwon walking towards one of the star players and also his friend, Sunghoon. He leaned and whispered something that made the older one smirked. After saying something that you can’t hear, Jungwon walked away and went back to his previous position.

“Oh, right! You’ll have a buddy while you’re with them. Jungwon?” he called him out and once again, your heart started going crazy.

You watch how he walked closer and his eyes were completely focused at you. It made you feel flushed so you pursed your lips once again.

“Who’s gonna accompany her?” he asked.

You bit your lower lips and muttered ‘Please not Jungwon’ inside your mind. Jungwon glanced over to their coach before he looked back at you, a small smile then plastered over his face.

“Me, coach.” he said. You gulped and heart hammered hardly at how he kept the eye contact with you.

You heard some of his friends saying something but you were too drawn in his stares that you didn’t understand it. Their coach was a bit surprise, it is a yearly tradition and yet this is the first time Jungwon actually handled this himself.

“W-Well alright. I know she’s in good hands then. She will start tomorrow.” he said.

Jungwon nodded his head at their coach and looked at you. With a smirk he raised his brows at you, “See you tomorrow then, y/n.”

Chills ran over your spine at the sound of your name coming out from his lips. You nodded your head and smiled a little. After bidding good-bye, you politely bow at everyone and exit yourself. Jungwon’s eyes followed you and a smirk was still present over his face.

“y/n huh?” Sunoo said beside him wearing this teasing smile.

Jungwon rolled his eyes but still, his smile can’t be erased from his face. “Shut up, hyung.” he said and walked himself towards back inside to go grab his bag.

“Just a heads up, Jungwon, y/n is not that fond of the rugby team” his hyung said that made him look at him with a furrowed brow.

“You know her?”

Sunoo nodded his head, “She’s our classmate in almost every class.” he bit his lower lip when he suddenly tried to retrieve his small memory of classmates face just to try and remember you.

“Why am I not aware?” he asked over to himself.

“It’s because you don’t really care about the people around you.” he even let out a chuckle.

“Well, good luck with you.” and he waved before leaving.

“So...?” you gave your friend a questioning look as she seem to be so excited as you take your seat beside her the next morning.

“What do you mean so?” you asked still confused. She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms at you.

“How did it go yesterday? You met the team? Aren’t they the hottest?” she beamed excitedly and you gave her a judging look you before sarcastically smiling.

“Wow, good morning to you too.”

She chuckled, “Good morning!”

She leaned closer, resting her chin by her hand, elbow rested at your table. You raised an eyebrow at her being irritated because you’re not in the mood to talk about it.

“What happened?”

You let out a sigh of defeat. You know you can’t win with her and so you just decided to give in. While pulling out your textbook for your morning class you then started telling her what happened yesterday.

“Oh my, y/n! I really salute you for not melting while being watched by those handsome guys! I envy you!” she said and you can’t help but to roll your eyes again.

“First of all, I’m not an ice cream so why would I melt. Second of, if you envy me so much go take my place.” you told her and she was quick enough to give you sweet smile.

“No thanks, best friend. Fighting, you can handle that!” she said that only made you frown.

Both of you snapped your heads when someone entered your class. The student’s attention was instantly at him. Not in his legendary rugby uniform, Yang Jungwon was wearing the school’s uniform like any other male students but still, he managed to outshine everyone of them. You are pretty sure the material was the same, the way they wore it was just the same but how come Jungwon’s effect is different?

You’re even more surprise when he roamed his eyes around the class. He doesn't do that before. Usually, he just walks in together with his friends Sunoo and Ni-ki then basically ignore everything.

His eyes settled at yours and caused your heart to beat faster. Your friend pursed her lips and gave you a glance with a teasing smile. You feel like your heart fell when he muttered something towards Sunoo and Ni-ki then started walking towards where you are seated.

The whole class were obviously watching him. He then arrived near you and his eyes are now at the student who’s sitting at your other side.

“I want to take that seat.” he said seriously, not even a smile. The guy was intimidated by him and hurry himself up from the seat. Jungwon then eyed you and you almost hitched your breath at the sudden eye contact.

“I hope you don’t mind being my seat-mate, y/n.” he said, flashing a smirk showing off his pretty dimples.

You gulped and tried acting normal despite the flushed cheeks. “And if I mind? Will you leave?” you muttered lowly, trying prevent the other students who’s obviously bewildered to what’s happening to hear.

Jungwon scoffed before making himself comfortable beside you. “No.” was his only response.

You glared at him but he just gave you a smirk. It was annoying how cocky he acts around you, actually around everyone else like as if he’s way above all of them. It’s like his presence himself screams power and authority that tells you you can’t disobey him. Maybe the fact that despite being one of the youngest in the rugby team he managed to be the team captain.

Thankfully, your teacher arrived and the classes started. Before you finally focus yourself at the class you heard your friend say something beside you.

“You seriously have explaining to do.” with a teasing smile.

“I swear, (friend’s name)! Nothing happened. I bumped into Jungwon the day before I met the whole team.” you said starting to feel frustrated that she kept on insisting that something’s going on between the team captain and you.

You are now at the cafeteria, lunch break and in every class that you are with Jungwon, he always sits beside you. He even started to act like as if you two are close, like as if he was aware that you are his classmate all these years. Students also started eyeing you weirdly and you hate it. You hate how some girls glares at you then whispers to the person beside them. You hate how just the small news of him sitting beside you in class makes a big impact to other people.

“But I’m sure it’s something for Jungwon! Y/n, that’s Yang Jungwon of the Belift Rugby Team. The team captain!”

“So?”

She sighed and rolled her eyes, “He’s not the type to go make the first move to sit beside a girl and try to catch her attention. People usually give attention to them without them asking for it.” she stated and you didn’t say anything. You know that, you clearly and absolutely know that.

“Let’s just eat, okay?” you tried shutting the topic off and started eating completely shrugging off that thought.

When the dismissal came, you wanted so bad to just go home and maybe enjoy the rest of the day without encountering Jungwon but of course you can’t do that. With pursed lips and fist tightly balled you walked towards the field. Like any other days, a lot of students were around, watching.

As you slowly walked closer, you can see the boys in the middle of the field, in their jerseys and practicing their play. One of them caught you and he instantly alarmed Jungwon about it. Your heart beats fast and you hated it. You hate how he affects you.

He turned his head at your direction and smiled a little before he instructed something to his team before slowly making his way towards you. He jogged and you nearly chocked at how he does that attractively. You settled your things at one of the benches and act like as if you are very busy, waiting for him to approach.

“Hi,” he greeted.

You snapped your head at him and smiled, acting like your heart ain’t beating twice faster than normal. “Hello.”

His face lighten and his grin grew wider before he bit his lower lip. He raised a hand and wipe off some of his sweat before tilting his head back a bit to push his already sweat soaked hair out of his face.

“Do you need anything while you observe us? Or do we need to do anything?” he asked, all attention focused at you. Even if the whole team was doing their play and a lot of students around were watching, Jungwon’s attention was all on you.

You pouted a bit, “N-Nothing. Just do what you normally do. I’ll take pictures and then interview some of you from time to time.” you said.

He chuckled, finding how you stuttered a bit adorable. He nodded his head, eyebrows moving up once in an attractive way. He then tilted his head, “Alright, babe. If you get thirsty there’s water there.” and even pointed where their waters are before he went back to his place.

You were dumbfounded, not because you saw how many water bottles was there but because of the pet name he just called you. Now, you’re wondering if you just heard that right. You managed to snap yourself back to your senses and started taking good pictures of them. You’re gonna agree, their star player’s visuals are seriously no joke. They’re all good looking, especially Yang Jungwon. His black hair, pointy nose, dimples, broad shoulders, his lips, and those eyes. Those pretty eyes. Okay, he is good looking.

You didn’t know how you manage, but eventually you got used to being around the whole rugby team. Every practice, you are there to take pictures, interview them from time to time and even befriend some of them. Surprisingly, they are nicer than you thought.

“Let me see,” Jungwon gently mumbled and leaned closer you during one class breaks.

Its been two weeks since you’ve been hanging out with the rugby team, mostly with Jungwon. There is no doubt that both of you are getting very close right now. You are indeed comfortable around Jungwon already.

“Good shots, aren’t they?” you even gave him a smug smile and he glanced at your eyes before he smiled. He pinched your nose before smirking.

“Yeah, bunny. They are good.” he muttered and you can’t help but to blush and smile at him, staring straight to his eyes.

Lately, you two seemed to develop a new habit and that is to stare at each others eyes. They are so pretty that you think you can last for hours just by staring at them.

The students around you are noticing how oddly you two growing really close. They are amused at how Jungwon acts around you, all smiley and playful. Way different at how strict and serious he is as the team captain.

“Wear this, it’s hot today.” he muttered  as you approach the field and the sun was too hot above you.

You smiled and thanked him before before he pinched your cheeks then jogged towards the middle. He just put his cap at your head.

Your heart was thumping fast but it was like a normal thing for you now. Whenever you’re with Jungwon, your heart always skips a beat in every big and little things he do for you. Your smile faltered after realizing you are slowly developing feelings for the team captain. You don’t know when, how or why but it just happened. And the fear that he doesn’t feel the same was eating you whole. Just by thinking about it, you two are very different. He’s always the center of attention, well known and an extrovert. On the other hand, you hated attention. You hate when people tries to meddle with your own life.

You gulped and just shrug it off, you just have to finish this article peacefully and try to protect your heart as much as possible.

“What’s up y/n? You’re late today. We already had one round of practice.” Ni-ki greeted you one day when he saw you approaching the bleachers near them. You pouted and accepted the high-five he was offering while holding a cup of water using one of his hand.

“I know. I got stuck at one of my classes. Do you guys have another round or you’ll wrap it up?” you asked him and settled your things at where you usually sit. Sunoo caught eyes on you and walked closer as well.

“Hi y/n!” he brightly greeted and you smiled brightly at him then wave.

“We’ll have another one.” Ni-ki answered and roamed his eyes around first before leaning towards you.

“Captain Yang was not in the mood when he went to practice a while ago and so he’s punishing us.” he kid. You pouted and your eyes soon roamed around searching for him.

You saw him, sitting by a bleacher far from you. His brows were hardly furrowed while he have his eyes closed. “Why?” you asked confused.

Sunoo chuckled, “Who do you think is at fault?”

“I don’t know.”

Ni-ki chuckled and flicked your forehead lightly, “You, idiot.” he said smirking.

You glared and slightly massaged the placed he hit before saying, “Why? What did I do?”

Sunoo smirked, “He said you two had a row before he head towards here.”

Your mouth formed ‘o’ remembering what happened a while ago. He was being annoying and been acting all rude to one of your classmates, the boy was your groupmate and jungwon has giving rude remarks and looking at him like as if he was worthless. You stepped up for the poor guy and that caused him to be mad, telling you how you can just be at the other guy’s side. You didn’t think he was serious.

You were still talking with Ni-ki and Sunoo that you didn’t know Jungwon saw that you arrived. He pursed his lips before letting out a sigh.

“Everyone at the field again.” he mumbled and so the whole team went to position themselves.

You on the other hand pursed your lips and looked at Jungwon. He was eyeing the field before he then glanced at you. Heart thumped, reacting at the sudden eye contact. He walked closer to you and you’re just stoned at where you were standing.

A pout appeared over your lips when he suddenly put his cap at your head. “You done being mad?” you asked with a soft tone.

He clicked his tongue, eyes bore into you. “No. But I don’t want you getting hot because of the sun.” he answered in a serious tone before he stared at your eyes once again.

It made you blush, here he is being all caring once again. You wanted to tell him off and to tell him stop doing all these things but at the same time you want to enjoy until it lasts.

You both heard his team members calling him and Jungwon let out a sigh, “Let’s talk later.” he stated, it wasn’t a question, more like a command that you have to talk to him.

You had no chance to ask about it because he started jogging towards the field and their practice started after that.

“What is it?” you asked Jungwon the moment he arrived in front of you. The practice is over now and he came out from their shower room, hair still wet, his one hand holding his headband and the other inside his pocket. He got his sports bag over one of his shoulder as he stare at you.

“Bye, y/n!” one of the players bid good bye at you. With a wave you smiled at him before you turned back your attention to Jungwon.

He’s still staring at you so you furrow your brows at him. “What?” you asked a bit confused at why he’s looking at you like that. You raised your hand and gently ran your hand over to his wet hair to push some away from his handsome face.

Jungwon shut his eyes for a while as you do that, feeling so good about it. He pursed his lips making his dimples show as he felt something in his stomach go crazy. It’s always those little things you do for him that drives him crazy. When you stopped, he opened his eyes to stare at your pretty face again.

“Jay hyung’s hosting a party tonight. I’m taking you with me.” he suddenly said.

“I don’t want to.” you were quick to decline his offer. It made Jungwon’s forehead to furrow and he tilted his head over to the side before a challenging smirk appear over his lips.

“You don’t want to?” he asked. You gulped and glanced away, now you suddenly find the field interesting than his pretty eyes.

He scoffed, “Then I won’t let you interview us during the whole game.” he said that made you snap your eyes towards him.

“What? Y-You can’t do that!”

He raised one eyebrow at you as his smirk fell, “Try me, y/n. Good luck with the article.” he said and you were left dumbfounded.

“Alright. I will go in that stupid party.” you finally surrender. If you don’t interview them during the games then all your efforts will be put into waste.

A smirk spread across his face before he raised his hand and brushed some of your hair away from your face then hanged them over your ears. “Okay, bun. I will pick you up at your place at 8 pm, hmm?”

And so, you are left with no choice but to go in that party with him. You groaned as you stare at your own reflection, your room was a whole mess after you rummaged all of your clothes just to find something pretty for tonight. It’s not your fault that you don’t often got invited at such gatherings and also, you don’t do parties. Just by thinking being around some drunk and smoking people already makes you dizzy. But tonight, because of Yang Jungwon, you are obliged to join him.

Actually, deep inside, its not only because of the article. You wanted to see the kind of life he normally lives. Because of that feelings that slowly blooming over your chest, you wanted to try and blend in with his freaking crowd. Funny, but you’re really doing it.

“What? Do I look ugly?” you asked really worried when you saw how Jungwon’s face went blank as he stares at you.

He was leaning over his car while both hands inside his pocket when you went out of your house to greet him. He’s been staring at you for like a good ten seconds and it’s making you feel worried that maybe, you look ugly.

He blinked twice and tilted his head, a visible tint of red slowly occupy his fluffy cheeks before he slowly went close to you.

“Ugly? Damn, baby you look so pretty. I’m afraid a lot of guys will eye you the whole night.” he muttered lowly that made you flushed.

“Jungwon, I’m serious.” you managed to say and glanced away.

He slowly slid his hands from your arms towards your hand. He smirked, finding you cute then he raised your hand and placed a soft kiss at it.

“I am too. You need to stay close to me all night, okay bun?” he asked, eyebrow raising at you. It made the butterflies in your stomach go crazy. Everything about him is attractive that it drives you crazy.

You nodded your head and a satisfied smile appeared his face, “That’s my girl. Let’s go.” he softly said and guided you over to his car and even opened the door for you.

The whole ride was okay, he was just talking casually and acts normally, you’re the only one looking flushed. The way he talked to you a while ago still flashes through your mind and it makes your head float for some reasons.

When you arrived the party, it was already crazy. Loud music, a lot of people, some are familiar but a lot are new to you. Jungwon held your hand tightly before he pulled you over the entrance. A lot already recognized him as expected and after greeting him, their eyes automatically darted at your way. When you two arrived at the crowded part, he pulled you closer and slid his arm at your waist to make sure you are close to him.

“What’s up dude! I was wondering where you are. Your friends were already here.” one guy approached him. He isn’t familiar so you assume he doesn’t go to the same school as you.

“Hey, good to see you. I went to pick my girl up first before going here.” he said and your heart thumped faster when you heard him calling you his girl again.

The guy’s eyes darted at you a bit wide-eyed. Surprised that the team captain have someone over his arms tonight unlike the previous parties. He smiled and greeted you as well, acknowledging you and even saying how pretty you are. You blushed and Jungwon clenched his jaw before pulling you a bit closer to his body like as if you ain’t close enough.

“We’ll go and find my friends. See you around,” he said cutting your eye-contact with the guy.

As you made your way to the center of the place where his friends are, your heart fell out of nervous. Just seeing everything, experiencing this, you suddenly realized how different his way of living from you. Jungwon seemed so used to all of this, used to all the eyes that follows him around, used to all the attentions he’s having.

While on the other hand, you’re so uneasy with the stares they give you. Especially the girls around, their eyes have something in them. The way they look at you is like its a crime to be inside Jungwon’s arms or even near him.

“Finally, hi y/n!” Jake greeted you when you arrived and you just smiled a little at him. As usual, he have a girl over his arms. She isn’t familiar but you smiled at her.

Jungwon pull his arm off your waist and he sat down at the sofa first before he looked at you while holding your hand. You look at him with clueless eyes, he seems like he’s waiting for you to do something. He bit his lower lip before he smirks at you then lightly taps his lap.

You blushed hardly, “Come here, bun.” his voice a bit muffled because of the loud music. You roamed your eyes around and his friends that looks like they don’t mind and so with flushed face you slowly sat down over his lap. Jungwon instantly held your waist, smirking as he roam his eyes around. Seeing the boys around slowly tearing their eyes off of you once you settled at his lap makes him feel at ease. No one’s allowed to stare at you because you’re only for him.

You don’t know for how long but you’re quite surprise he didn’t even made you sit somewhere else. But you’re not gonna lie, even if it’s a bit embarrassing, it is comfortable. Jungwon talks to his friends as Sunoo talks to you too. He just have his hands over your waist, softly caressing it.

“Do you want something to drink?” his lips was near your ears because he needs to whisper with all the loud music, he doubt you can hear him unless he leans closer.

You blushed but nods afterwards. You stood up so he can stand up and his friends attention was darted at the two of you. “What? Are you two leaving already?” Sunoo looked surprised.

Jungwon shake his head, “I’m just gonna get both of us drinks.” he said hand still at your waist.

“Please not too much. You’re still gonna drive.” you mumbled with a soft tone that made Jungwon’s heart jump. He smiled and pulled your head closer to him. He placed a small kiss at your forehead, “Of course, baby.”

He was about to take you with him but Jay said its too crowded so he just have to leave you for a while. Sunoo said that he will look after you so he doesn’t have to be worried. He did and you talked with Sunoo while you wait for Jungwon. But suddenly, you had the urge of peeing.

“Sunoo, I’ll just go and pee.” you said and he just nods his head. “Do you want me to like..?”

“No. It's fine. I can handle it. You can just tell me where it is.” you said after letting out a small chuckle. Sunoo pouted a bit hesitant but he also doesn’t want to make you feel uneasy so he gave you direction for the nearest toilet.

You followed what he said and thankfully it isn’t occupied when you saw it. Quickly, you did what you have to do before you started heading towards back to where you were at before. Even before you can, you suddenly bumped into someone or more like, they bumped into you intentionally.

You gasped as you felt a cold liquid spills over your top. “Oh my gosh, i’m so sorry!” her tone sounded so sarcastic and couple of laughters can be heard after she said that.

You raised your head and saw some of the school’s cheerleaders. If Jungwon’s group of friends are the popular boys in your university, you can say these girls are the most popular. Pretty, rich and part of the cheerleading squad. Sure, they are well-known and they life-style is similar with Jungwon.

“It’s o-okay.” you muttered and tried wiping it off using your hands. You felt small as you feel some stares starting to be darted at your direction.

“Here, let me help you.” and you looked at her in hope that she will hand you something to wipe it off but then he threw you a handkerchief.

Her friends laughed and she have this sarcastic smirk at her face. She looked so mad and you don’t even know why. You are pretty sure this is the first time you had ever encountered with her.

“This is what you get for trying to fit in to something you don’t belong to.” she said and even slightly pushed you.

Tear started forming the corner of your eyes but you tried not to let them escape. You looked at her raging eyes, “Wake up. Not because Jungwon’s helping you with the school article doesn’t mean you can be part of him.” she said and the girls around her agreed.

A tear managed to escape but you were quick enough to wipe them off. You pushed pass the people around and tried to get of that place as soon as possible. When you were about to leave, you just felt someone held you firmly over your hand.

“Hey, hold up. what’s wrong?” Jungwon was quick enough to grab you by your hand to stop you from walking out of that party he took you to. You know coming here in the first place was a wrong decision. 

“Let go of me. I’m leaving.” you clenched your jaw.

Jungwon furrowed his brows in confusion the watch you with his eyes. He then  roamed his eyes around before he sighed heavily. He renew his hold to your hand and intertwin your fingers together.

“Alright, baby. we’ll leave.” he leaned in then muttered near your ears before he gently tugged your hand. You were dumbfounded on why you are hand in hand with the rugby team’s captain, him leaving the party together with you. Leaving the party without even looking back, having the eyes of those cheerleader girls full of nothing but envy.

“You know you could’ve just stay there right?” you said as you watch him go out of his car while holding a hoodie. You gulped while embracing yourself using your arm as your eyes follow his every move.

He pulled you over to where he parked his car. His brows were hardly furrowed and his jaw was clenching hard. He was obviously mad and it’s slowly scaring you because you’ve never saw him like this.

“I’ll be right back, okay? Wait for me here.” he mumbled and you have no choice but to nod your head. He closed the door and you were a bit spaced out before you started changing into the hoodie he gave you.

On the other hand, Jungwon stormed inside the party while clenching his jaw. He ignored those who tried to greet him and went straight to where his friends are, near them are the cheerleaders. His friends eyes darted at him.

“Jungwon? I thought you looked for y/n, where is she?” Heeseung asked and the younger one just ignored him and went straight to the girl who messed with you a while ago.

“What did you do to y/n?” his friends were alarmed when he heard the way Jungwon asked her. She was surprised as well and fear was evident at her eyes.

Jay walked loser to his friend and tried to calm him down. “I j-just---”

“Stay the fuck away from my girl if you don’t want me to mess with you.” he hissed that made the girl cry in fear. His friends calmed him down, can’t really stop him him after knowing what the girl just did to you. They somehow understand why he’s acting like this.

“Just go to y/n, we’ll handle this.” Heeseung told him and thankfully he agreed. After sending another glare at the girl he turned his heels to head towards you.

“What did you do?” you asked while you slowly went out from the backseat of his car when he opened it for you. You are surprised when he greets you with a warm hug, caging you between him.

“Whatever she said, don’t believe it.” he mumbled.

You were dumbfounded. With a light chuckle you said, “It’s somewhat true anyway? I will really never fit.” you said that made his jaw clench.

“Who said you need to? Baby,” his tone sounded so soft that you can’t help but to focus on him fully.

“You don’t have to if you don’t want. All I need is for you to be there for me...” he said and he bit his lip the gulped once slowly getting nervous by the thought that he will confess tonight.

“Actually, I just joined the rugby team because my friends are there and also because I have talent for it. The popularity just came afterwards because of it. I don’t really care about the attention and all not until I came across with you.” he said, eyes staring softly at you. He ran his tongue at his lower lip once before he ran his hand over to your arm, caressing it.

“Suddenly I wanted you to give your whole attention to me.” he mumbled, his cheeks got tinted red as he slowly slid her hand over to your hand.

“I love you, y/n.” he softly said and stared at you lovingly.

Your mouth gapped in awe before you pursed your lips, “J-Jungwon, you don’t know how overwhelming all of these are for me. The handsome, talented and team captain of the Belift rugby team is in love with me? That sounds insane. Your name itself gives pressure for me.” you mumbled.

He pouted before raising your hand and placing feather-like kisses at it, “Then, I can be the handsome, talented, team captain of the Belift rugby team and y/n’s boyfriend. That sounds even amazing.” he said.

You blushed and glanced away, “I’m serious.”

“I am too. If its overwhelming, we’ll take it easy. We won’t tell anyone about it at first and keep it private for the mean time if that’s what you want. Anything, bun... just please tell me you love me too.” he said, his voice was addicting.

“I love you, Jungwon.” you said that made him smile right away before leaning to give you a light kiss.

Jungwon’s smirk was plastered over his face as he hold unto the school news paper. He’s been in this school for years but not even once did he got interested in reading it not until you happened. He quickly looked for the sports team page and went to look for the articles you write. His smile grew not because of the picture of their team winning but because of seeing your name below it.

“There you are!” he snapped his head over to the side when he heard your familiar soft voice. He smiled stretching one of his hands for you, he slid it over your waist and pull you closer. After placing a sweet kiss at your lips, he placed one at your cheeks too.

“I saw the article.” he mumbled and showed you the news paper he was holding.

“Really? How was it?” you asked, an excited smile present over your pretty face.

He smirked, eyes staring loving at yours after he roamed it at your face once. “I think your name is really pretty bun... and Yang will suit you pretty well.” and yet again gave you a sweet kiss at your lips.
