English woes.
Okay so all those out there who have somehow found this or are just really tired of trying to sleep(hehe, pun), what up, howdy. As you have probably all ready seen in the above. I’m not an “Englisher” in fact it’s my worst subject (other than sport because, you know, looming clumsiness) and I have in fact spoken it most days of my life (the English language)and the days I haven’t spoken it, I have made up for, by speaking way faster and longer than most human ears can handle. But currently in the aforementioned English I am studying Shakespeare, I mean who hasn’t at one point in there life (other than infants -lucky bastards-because you know, of there lack of knowledge toward the subject). Currently the vomit inducing Romeo and Juliet has been on top of the agenda, and the only perk is that we get to see some DiCaprio. My only question that is appropriate to ask is, why do we study the dude and I know that has been asked millions of times but never have I heard a full evidence filled answer. I mean I get he was a magician with words (and had the ability to somehow twist our tongues until we spoke in rhymes) but seriously, every single play we read, really. Why can’t we just read one play ,at all, by some other dude. I’m sure there’s another Shakespeare out there (preferably with a shorter name, for the sake of essays) who’s plays can tie knots with our tongues but still have the same effect as the Shakespeare. Just honestly, as a unit of the human race, we’re probably gonna miss the next guy who can make our language more complicated, just because we’re still hung up on Shakespeare. I mean change is as good as a holiday and by the sounds of it, Shakespeare probably really needed one.
