Ahhhh yes exactly, I think it's such a unique game, I've never seen anything like it before and those kind of games always catch my eye. Jodie is one of my favourite female video game characters as well, she's so complex and that's not something you see very often in female protagonists in video games. Cry did play it! I watched his playthrough of it ~ Have you heard of The Last of Us? I think you'd like that game as well c:
You have never seen any games like it before? I don't know if you are talking about the story or the format of the game. Itâs called âinteractive filmââa special type of game developed by Quantic dream. There is another game that is for Ps3 as well, itâs called âheavy rainââwhich I adore a lot ( I just donât like Madison as much unfortunately, but she is VERY bad-ass, still a lovely lady nevertheless ). A game before that is for Ps2, I think itâs called âFahrenheitâ. Two of these games have Matrix implications, and I think Beyond: two soul to some degree does so too, but Fahrenheit, I heard is like a Mytrix rip-off? Or not, I didnât play the game or watch the game. I donât do Ps2 games unless itâs in silent hill series.
But yeah heavy rain is why I get to know about beyond: two souls. I plan to play heavy rain for a long long time since I watched the playthrough.
Jodie is a complex character, like how a female protagonist should be. and hey, they treat her as an intelligent and independent human being with her own guilts and worries and pain. Sheâs suffered from (pretty serious) depressionâand if you chose life ending, thatâs just more evident since sheâs losing memories. sheâs been suicidal, but she fought on, even though there is so many reasons to give up, she fought on. Sheâs not some object of male gaze, and not in some stupid love triangle, and not shown completely naked on camera for like at least 20 min of game play. Really thankful that Quantic dream has developed such character. Â I personally found her a very relatable character, except she is definitely a stronger and better person than I am.Â
And oh I forget to talk about Ellen, like sheâs been to a lot of things I absolutely love. Inception has been, if not my favourite, in my top 3 favourite movies, Juno, the movie she was nominated best actress for Academy award once, is a superb movie as well. If anyone ask whoâs my favourite female actress, itâs probably her.Â
Iâm gonna probably watch cry plays beyond: two souls, when I find the time. I like his choices 90% of the time, and I like that he doesnât babbling on too much.Â
OH LAST OF US, i think everybody on youtube gaming community plays it or something. Itâs beautiful, absolutely love it. I missed the little girl at the beginning a lot though, i mean wow i thought we are playing as her in the game, jesus christ and then she got shot. But Ellie is super rad and I SAW THE DLC, PEOPLE GETS TO PLAY AS HER AND I AM SURPRISED THAT I DIDNâT EXPECTED THAT COMING BUT IT WAS REALLY CUTE and very sad. I like the male protagonist as well, I mean heâs done some bad shit, but heâs a good father figure.Â
I actually had reblog a couple of last of us posts in my âvideo gamesâ (with some RPG game posts in it as well) tag, and i tagged it âthe last of usâ or âtlouâ as well. But itâs not on my tag page, I need to change my tag page and incoporate some important tags in.Â
Oh god itâs a long answer post, you must excuse me, I just got a lot of love for these games ok.Â
