Of course Sebastian noticed the only male customer in the store immediately. Was he perhaps a husband of one of the many ladies that had flocked into the store? But despite his calm expression, the demon could see the anger boiling within him. See his blood pressure rise amongst the screeching females. Sebastian quite understood that sentiment, he too deemed the high pitch of human women’s squealing grating at times.

Since the man then turned and got ready to leave, he might not be attached to any of the female customers after all. Sebastian, drawn to those curiously mis-matched eyes, held the door open for him. The demon offered him a polite little bow like a good servant.

          It was a little surprise, Vincent could have given him a small stone and the child would gladly accept it and be happy about, but it was a little plush rabbit instead, it was more than perfect. A broad smile sprouted upon his lips, he was also so glad Vincent has came to his birthday party. ❝ Thank you ! I love it ! ❞ Little fingers gave it a gently hold, embracing the toy.❝ Do you want to play with me now ? ❞ frankly what ‘Ciel’ was the most happy about was his friend’s presence.

          when did her      little    brother become taller than her? the question came to mind, much to her annoyance, while she stood on the tips of her toes ( without much success ) to place decorative garland around the hihest shelves in the drawing room. only now did vanessa truly notice the    noticeable   height difference between her and vincent. when the boy was first brought in as a ward, he barely reached her chest ( with his brother only a bit taller ), but now he exceeded her height by at least half a foot, much to her dismay. it wasn't the least bit fair, especially when there was nobody else left to assist her and they both had to civilly tolerate each other's presence.

         finally giving up and ceasing straining herself trying to reach something far out of her reach, a defeated sigh exhaled past her lips. her own pride gripped her   so tightly   that it was almost painful to eventually ask vincent for his help.  ❝   you're taller than i am --- help me.  ❞

            it was just like her   ' adopted '   brother to plant thoughts of paranoia in her mind --- as much as she refused to acknowledge the unsettling way he got underneath her skin. her pride wouldn't grant him the satisfaction. gloved fingers fiddled needlessly with the intricate lace sleeves of her blouse, before sapphire eyes fell upon vincent. crossing her arms over her chest, vanessa pursed her lips.  ❝   and pray tell, what do you think you're so    right   about?  ❞
