Another ender!! It's so refreshing to see folks like me around
I'm not sure how to phrase this without sounding rude, but how does a past life experience work with fictionkin? This coming from someone who does experience that, by the way! I promise I'm not judging!! I just have issues with accepting myself as having past life memories when in scientific reality that's not really possible?
Idk, please feel free to ignore this if I sound like an ass, I just wanted to see if my experiences are solely mine or if others have trouble with this idea. I love your blog, it makes me feel so seen and connected to my type!
hii! o/ always cool to see endermen, even if its just on anon! welcome, welcome
unfortunately i wont be able to enlighten you much on how past lives work, as i dont experience them myself. youll have more luck with other fictionkin who do experience them in this regard. from what ive seen, most fictionkin who claim to have lived past lives use the multiverse theory to explain them. that is, the theory that claims theres an infinite number of realities outside of our own, including the ones that are depicted as "fictional" here. so for example, someone with an enderman past life may say that what we know as "Minecraft" doesnt actually come from a videogame, but from an alternative earth in which there are no humans anymore and mobs roam through the world like animals do in ours. they might have lived a full life as an enderman, died and then reincarnated in this world/reality as a human. these beings are known as spiritual otherkin.
im a psychological otherkin. this means that i prefer to explain my identity through science, and more specifically, psychology. i still have memories (which i call "noemata", as theyre not actually memories) and shifts, but these come from a quirk in my brain rather than a spiritual phenomenon.
if you fully believe your identity comes from a past life but still prefer to have a scientific explanation for your experiences, you may want to adopt a mixed label. or no label at all. personally, i like to have explanations for everything i experience, thats why i use the psychological label. but thats just me. maybe some things... dont need an explanation. labels are cool, but they arent everything. maybe things just Are sometimes, and we dont need to understand the whys or hows, just the whats. and unfortunately, thats up to you. you define your experiences, you pave your own way. it may seem scary at first, but you get used to it. thats what i did :}
