for the past three months, my grandmother was on hospice here at home. we took care of her round the clock. she passed away yesterday afternoon. i know that sheās on the other side of this reality, reunited with my grandfather and her family
end alzheimerās. learn the early warning signs. early detection is just as crucial for alzheimerās as it is for cancer. hug your grandparents/parents/loved ones. when there are moments you can be more patient, go for it.Ā
i feel super lost. like iām not sure what to do with myself. i watched the stars game tonight and now i put on the simpsons. but i just feel kinda numb and listless. i suppose thatās expected.Ā

Their 24/7 helpline got me through crisis after crisis, and they also regularly checked in to make sure my dad and I were ok. They are still my #1 resource for problem solving and planning as we continue to navigate this disease. My effort to give back to them so they can continue helping anyone affected by dementia is this compilation featuring some amazing artists, out this Friday June 19, in time for the summer solstice - the Alzheimerās Associationās annual fundraising day. The cover art and physical packaging features photographs by the extremely talented @ebruyildiz who documented her motherās journey with Alzheimerās.
