I used to enjoy sandwiches from the Taylor's of Cleveleys bakery, and was surprised when they were awarded a hygiene rating of 1. Now the business has closed, the shop has changed hands and there is a daredevil climbing about on it.

I heard great stories about this building, something about a superstar performed to pedestrians walking past the building. Sad that it's currently lying empty.

Opening tonight!

Parmar's footwear, another shop gone out of business after many years of successful trading. The shop is unusual in that the only way to enter the rest of the building is to climb a flight of stairs.

The closure of McColl's convenience shop in Anchorsholme, Blackpool, reveals evidence of a previous occupant. It is so long since S & A Smith moved on that the local phone numbers were four digits instead of six and "01253" lay in the future. Ringing anyone outside the local exchange would have required talking to an operator.

Hartes department store in Blackpool, which has been in a bit of a state for several years. The guy who now owns it wants to turn the site into a car park, but Blackpool Council says "no".
