I was rereading Warcross and noticed that there's some subtle foreshadowing in how Tremaine is described as a player by Roshan early on in the book as someone who wears "many faces" and is "fluid enough to pull an uncharacteristic move," kinda anticipating Emika's shock at how Tremaine was actually involved with the bounty the whole time in the sense that she didn't expect him to be capable or willing to take part in things she was secretly doing, thus it being an uncharacteristic move from her perspective. Marie is so good with things like this!

God I love her foreshadowing so much, you never notice it until you reread her books and the realization hits you like a train
Tremaineâs near-death was foreshadowed in the beginning of Chapter 15 in Emikaâs dream, although that one is more obvious I think

Warcross isnât perfect but itâs stuff like this that makes it worth rereading over and over, I love it so much
