In which I finally obtain some stuff to hopefully find evidence of ghosts

Well, you’ve done it again. You made it through another week, and what’s more- you made it back to another Ghost Blogger update! Thanks to all of you who have been reading. It doesn’t matter that it isn’t too many. The internet is cool, because I can write this stuff down and have others read it! That's just really neat. So thanks for sticking with me! I finally have my hands on some ghost hunting gear, which I got to test at my work and here at home. My roommate and I are planning to spend a night in the woods nearby in the next few weeks, or at least a very late night since it’s getting colder.

So the stuff my co-worker gave me is:

An EMF reader, used to detect Electromagnetic fields, which in turn hopefully means ghosts.

The aforementioned night vision goggles which are like, rad as hell. My roommate and I annoyed the crap out of my gf running around the apartment with the lights off trying to hit each other with nerf guns. I don’t really have anything to report using these other than they work. Probably really expensive though.

“Spirit Box” or a Radio Sweep. This thing is kinda spooky even when ghosts aren’t around. It kinda scans radio stations but really fast so you aren’t able to make out anything. Spirits are supposed to be able to ’speak’ to us through it. It’s kinda loud. If I were a ghost I feel like I would leave and not use it to communicate. Unless it was to be like “go away please”.

He also said I should check Goodwill or thrift stores for an old tape recorder, which I might do if I’m able.

At home I haven’t found anything. The spirit box spooked Andrew though, which was funny.  At work we all kinda played around with the stuff after closing. Steve was excited and thought it was hilarious. We investigated the basement, where we think we may have gotten a few weird strings of words on the spirit box. “What,” “Extra,” and “No” was all I could maybe make out. I have to remember to leave my phone recording or something so I’m able to look over stuff later when we aren’t being goofy. Heard a couple weird noises and thumps, but there were enough people around it easily could have been any of us- accidentally or intentionally.  Most of my co-workers believe in ghosts and stuff at least a little. But there is always one who doesn’t. Norman kept trying to scare us and laughing at us for falling for it. He’s a little younger, so I guess I get it. 

Since there has been such an uptick in Covid cases, everyone is trying to be more careful again. We’ve been really pushing delivery, and I’ve offered to get groceries for Old Linda more often if she needs.  I’ve been staying home otherwise and mostly playing D&D with some buddies online to keep busy. We’ve had a pretty good campaign going. Lots of drama and suspense. One of the people I play with is kinda annoying though. He tends to try to talk over me, and he shoots me down whenever I have an idea. I know his character is neutral evil but it’s just aggravating. 

That’s all for this time. I have plans to bring groceries to Old Linda’s soon, so maybe I’ll find an excuse to check for EMF readings or something. Until next week- Stay Haunted!
