You know what, if anything the terrible Wuthering Heights movie (or rather your posts against it) have finally made me start reading the book! I was curious about the film but after what you said I didn't want that to be my first impression of the story. So thanks for being that last needed push <3
yayyyyy im glad!!! i find it to be a hard book to pitch to people, because it manages to be about so many people and touch on so many ideas. when i say it's about classism and racism and family abuse and so on, i don't want to make it seem like it does so in a tedious and preachy way, it's the opposite... one thing i admire madly about emily brontë is this ability to shift effortlessly between tones ; some scenes are darkly funny, or just very very funny, and then the next is the most beautiful romantic monologue you've ever read, and then the next scene makes you feel like you're stuck at dinner with an abusive tyrant. and then back to funny again somehow! i never get tired of watching mr lockwood so elegantly move from one social blunder to another
i find wuthering heights to be a marvel of a book in many ways, and i think it's definitely worth experiencing once, even if you don't like it in the end. it's a very interesting book to discuss with people, says a lot

They act now that your money will flow into certain mentioned organisations (yeah, right !), in return you get some cheap, childish plastic/wooden sh!t in return (yeah, great) they try to make money with copyrighted stuff (the entire DA lore, games, characters, etc. yes it it all copyrighted). The money flows directly into their own pockets and they share it with their scam-"artists".
Do not give these thieves/scammers any of your personal informations nor any money, if you want any DA merch get the official Bioware merch and prints or create these cheap plastic pins, emotes yourself (if you do it just for your own use, without selling it, it is tolerated) -> go to a printshop, at least you know where your money really ends up and it's cheaper.
Behind these zine and merch blogs sit scammers who will keep the money they make, do not let them fool you and here is another "fanzine" that is working the same way and both blogs are very likely connected, the one who sells Leliana (lelianazine) merch:
(you see the blogs always look similar and emphasize "charity")
This individual here wants for a A4 print or a cheap coffee cup with print on a good amount of money for a character he does not even own the rights on. The printing itself is cheap af and you get it for a few euro in any print shop lol (even the reviews are fake, copy pasted). Like most art scammers he sends himself anon asks, too typical for them to have a reason to advertise their stuff further. There are many of such "artists" out there but they all do the same: they sell art/merch/zines that is copyright protected.
he even tries to copy the original artstyle of Zevran drawn by Matt Rhodes here the original:
Here the following art that copies the original by the concept art style (armor, body posture, dagger position, even the window in the background is same), but yeah it's his art....
(shhhh tell nobody I stole Matt Rhodes artstyle and make money out of it)
^ an abandoned scam account, they create regularly new ones
again: Online transactions can be easily tracked, you can get into trouble by law too not only the one who sells the forbidden stuff that is copyrighted. Many of the tumblr "artists" who create art for the fanzines are known donation scam supporters (others do not know it any better but they know they make money with copyrighted characters), they try to make money from different sources and it is at the end the same = scam. Do not let them fool you !
I always wonder why these artists do not do their own very individual art (if they want to sell anything, fanart is fine as long as not sold) that is NOT connected to any existing merch/company/in general copyright protected. Lack of own creativity? They want to surf on the already existing hype wave of what others had built? I would say both, next to scamming people.
If you want DA prints get it from the original DA artists Matt Rhodes for example I mentioned him in another post you get quality there, it's legal and made by the lead concept artist himself, or merch from Biowares offical merch shop.
My other post about merch and zine scam:

My dearest Cas,
I hope youâre doing well since you sent your last letter. I heard the bombings at the French Front havenât been going well. I guess if a member of the Team Free Will trio had been killed I would have heard, but Iâm very worried.
After months of trying to forget the âgreatest betrayer of all time,â the guys in charge have finally realized I actually am loyal to my country. Perks of being the best spy; nobody trusts me. I am still frowned upon and some want me executed. The only thing thatâs convinced me that I still deserve to live is reading your letters.
I have an assignment with the army nerds now. What we do is obviously classified, but you love âenigmasâ and I know you have the clearance. The team is full of geniuses. There is a girl named Charlie and I can barely understand what she says most of the time, exactly like Kevin. Sheâs a lesbian, though not openly, of course. Kevin looks like a Jap, poor boy, though I think heâs Vietnamese. We are the trash the army would like to get rid of, but they canât because they need our talent.
I had a nightmare the other day. Not like one of the nightmares about Alistair. It was after debriefing. They told me leave, so I went to a bar for the night. When I was leaving, I was ambushed. I fought, of course, thinking they were some of Alistairâs men, because Iâm sure the bastard is still tracking me down.
But they werenât Alistairâs. One of them was my captain and when I recognized him, he told me undercover agents like me were a liability for the Allies, and I had to be executed.
I woke up screaming. I consider myself fortunate to know you and your powerful family. I am sure if you hadnât been there to pull some strings, I would already be dead or worse - back with Alistair.
On another subject, you should find a little package with this letter. When I saw this necklace I knew it was for you. The color is just like your eyes. How sappy is this? I was told itâs a lucky charm. I guess we should put all chances on our side, right?
I am sorry this letter isnât really happy. I feel so useless in the back, worrying for you, Sam, and Meg. I know you are all freaking gods of the sky, but the three of you are in my thoughts every day.
Please bring back my baby brother alive and well.
Come back to me, my love. I am waiting.
All my love forever,
D.
please donât delete caption or you will be blocked. no repost either duh.
End of the year meme: 10, 19 and 43 ! I wish you a fantastic new year <3
Thank you so much, lovely! I hope you have a WONDERFUL new year too!
10. What song sums up this year for you?
Hmm...I donât know if thereâs any songs that really describe my year, but anything by Jon Bellion could be the soundtrack for my year! Iâve listened to his music this year, I can already tell that if I listen to any of those songs in the future, itâs gonna throw me on a nostalgia trip to 2017.
19. What was one nice thing you did for yourself?
I stopped waiting around for other people to ask me to do stuff, or to make time in their calendars for me, and I decided to do things I want to do, with or without anyone else... so I took myself to Iceland. :)
43. What have you learned about yourself this year that you didnât know in the years prior?
That I can find a place where Iâm happy and feel like I belong. No waiting for something better, no striving towards the next best thing... just content with each day as it comes, either though some are better than others. :)

For the fic title ask game: "Dustland Fairytale" <3
deancas fusion with the film tombstone. dean is wyatt earp, given up law to settle down as a businessman in lawless tombstone, arizona with his brother and his brotherâs new wife. when his old friend cas (doc holliday) rolls into town again, together the three of them (with samâs wife eileen) take out the gang ruining everything for everybody. subplot about cas being revealed to be dying from TB and dean valiantly wanting to find a cure for it. endverse flavoured cas. lots of hurt/comfort all around but happy ending.
send me a fic title and iâll tell you what iâd write for it
Really nice to dip my feet back into this fandom, itâs been way too long!

âI can not paint if you will not hold still.â
He was certain that he had been giving this line for at least five different times yet it had to be repeated once more. Somewhere he had thought that Ezio had grown out of his jittery period but it seemed that even the power of age could not stop the man from twisting uncomfortably when sitting still for too long.
Leonardo could not help but to smile a little to himself, seeing the other man huff all so slightly, giving that light pout that was certainly not suiting for his age, the one that more gave call to the youngster that had once stumbled into his life and more or less turned it all on its head.
Of course he could actually paint without needing the model to be perfectly still. His memory worked a tad better than to lose it all in the span of a few seconds but perhaps it was his way of giving back for all the impatient âis it not finished yet?â that he had to endured while working on his inventions for the other man.
âHow much longer?â Ezio muttered, a hand gliding through the dark hair, ripping it out from the ponytail where it had so feebly been kept in.
âDepends on how long you can remain static!â
By now he could not choke back the smile any longer and that light that flared up in his companions eyes told him that it was first now the other man had understood that this was actually more of a friendly teasing than a serious topic.
âDid I tell you about my last escapades?â Ezio quickly added, his hands moving up to put the hair back up, completely breaking pose.
âNo, I perish the thought that I would be unable to hear such talesâ
Leonardo gave a light sigh, letting his arms rest for a moment, the brush as per usual gliding towards his own arm and leaving a long streak of red.
âSo there I dash over the rooftops!â
By the dramatic gestures he could tell that this was certainly going to be a tale for the ages yet he tried to keep a straight face, once more raising the brush.
âAs per usual?â
âWell if per usual you mean me, the dark night, the moonlit sky and several arrows chasing my behind, then yes!â
Leonardo felt his body jerking, wishing to give a light laughter at least but he forced it back, determined to keep his posture and calm look. Glancing over towards the dark haired man he could see that glimmer growing all the brighter. Ezio knew the game was up and he was not going to go easy on him.
âAt the last moment I had to make a quick decision, I leapt from the building, soaring in the air!â Â
By the slightly exaggerated movement, he could tell his companion would certainly wish to be up on his feet, gesticulating exactly how it had looked. Thankfully both of them knew that leaping from anything indoors was not recommended, after all it had already been tried and the results considered less than favourable.
âAnd you won't believe where I manage to entangle myself.â
âEnlighten meâ Leonardo answered, trying to keep the brush strokes steady.
âWell I take it that someone had had the pleasure of airing out their wardrobes and in one way I should thank them for breaking the fall, certainly...â
There came a slight pause and it was as if both of them were holding their breaths, awaiting the end of the story and seeing who would crack first.
âAnd of course I can not say for certain but I have a feeling that that is not the way one enters a dress... however I'll confess there was little to no time to put it on the right way.â
For a short moment there was silence, only for the split second it took Leonardo's brain to take in the information. Then came a low snort followed by a row of laughter as the mental image got imprinted into his head, a mere vivid view of Ezio fleeing down the streets, the gown of a well off lady hanging around his neck like a strange mantel.
He felt his stomach almost aching and it was with shame he had to drop the brush, his hand pushed to his lips as he kept on laughing, in between breaking out into fits of trying to catch his breath only to once more start laughing. As he glanced up for a short moment he could see Ezio, with that big grin on his lips, seemingly more than pleased that he had won the mental combat this time.
âOh, you're so proud of yourselfâ Leonardo managed to huff out, his breath slowly steadying. Â
