i want a plush version of my dog so bad especially since she's getting older and i know she's not going to be here forever, but the breed isn't the most common so i can't find any :(
in one way it's good that the breed isn't too popular because you should only get one if you can take care of one properly since they have very specific needs and are bred to be hunting dogs so they have to excercise a big amount every day. but it just makes me so sad because she's such a gorgeous dog and i want to be able to get something that looks like her. im thinking of buying a custom one because it might be worth it and while she does look a lot like the ideal for her breed, she's also very unique because she has a kind of mowhawk that she grew completely natural which is very very cool! every other norwegian elkhound (that ive ever seen or heard of, which are a pretty big amount) have short fur there that blends into the longer fur on their neck but hers just naturally grew that way even though none of her parents or siblings has/had it! she's also a bit shorter than average which i find a little funny since im also short. she's just the absolute sweetest and kindest dog you'll meet. she's genuinely such an amazing girl and ive never loved anyone or anything as much as i love her.
