Vorin theology is a little strange sometimes. People often conflate the Almighty with Honor, or the Stormfather, or heralds, or Jezrien, etc. It doesn't help that he had other names to go by, too-- Elithanathile, or He Who Transforms.
And here's this bit from Shallan, when asked how she would react if the Almighty himself appeared to her:
"I suspect with screams of pain .... As it is written that the Almighty's glory is such that any who look upon him would immediately be burned to ash." (The Way of Kings chapter 7)
She's not making it up, this is a piece of actual Vorin theology. It sounds to me like Vorins are conflating the Almighty with Odium.
