I am so scared for rottmnt future. I feel like that no matter what we do nickelodeon won't listen. I sent emails to them trying to appeal to the logic that they'll have more viewers if back on the main channel. I don't even watch the main channel anymore because of all the spongebob and loud house. This is like Welcome to the Wayne all over again, but what gets me is that they're doing this to a show that's part of a franchise.

It’s incredibly disheartening to see what’s happening to Rise, and to be honest, as this was my first Nickelodeon cartoon I was not sure how valid the concerns were about Nick maltreatment. Boy oh boy did they prove those worries right. It’s an absolute nightmare to think about how smug nostalgic people may gloat at us for its having a short lifespan when if it does end up that way, completely the fault of Nick’s sabotage. (We also all know it’ll be extremely adored at large and “OMG HOW DID WE SLEEP ON THIS” 5 years from now. a nightmare)
I’ve been pinning my hopes on Netflix exposure catapulting it back into their interests, but in the end, it’ll always be up to the big man and how he wants people to treat it. Like, of all shows to do this to, a big franchise one, really?? We can not understand the CLOWNERY.
And I’m really so sad to see how beloved shows with small devoted fandoms such as Welcome to the Wayne and Harvey Beaks were and I only hear of them now when they’ve been tragically cut short.
But as scary as things are now, there are some good news! That they’ve actually been okayed to do Rise shorts gives me some hope that they do still see merit in giving them content outside of the two seasons and the Netflix movie. The toyline news, while nonetheless upsetting, it has been confirmed by Russ Carney that Rise was pitched as not needing to specifically sell toys.
God though, we’re all just on our knees for that Season 3 confirmation. We just want this series to have the long life it deserves!

The Alzheimer's isn't a massive part of the fic but Yuna does have it and it's referenced throughout, I don't know how much you've already read but there are several scenes where they visit her and David. It's referenced more heavily in the sequel that focuses on Shane. If it's something that affects you personally I maybe wouldn't risk reading it. I was okay with it and I don't tend to read stories with alzheimer's or cancer because I've worked in care and both run in my family, so I just don't want to read about it in fic, but it's not something that I'm currently dealing with so it'll be different for you, I imagine.
